Alyne has a way with character development. Her characters are relatable. You fall in love with them. Quickly.
Sure, Jax and Autumn have their "barfy" moments but what romance novel doesn't? You'll fall in love with ALL of the characters (minus Camille *YUCK*...But even she has her redeeming moments) and easily get swept away in this story of a love that has all the odds against it.
Grab this book. You won't be disappointed. It IS indeed a love story and coming from a reader who has a hard time with mushy, gushy love stuff, I can't help but give rave reviews to Rocking Autumn.
Alyne has done it again and brought a story that touches your soul. There are books that you feel the emotions with the characters, and this is one of them. Jax and Autumn are a complicated couple, but at the heart of them lies an epic love story. This friends-to-lovers tale will take you on a journey through pain, heartache, heartbreak, joy, and faith. This gives you all the feels. They are the ultimate twosome, and I adore these characters.
Autumn may have some insecurities because of her past and the way she was left by the love of her life, but that still makes her a strong woman, who’s independent, experienced, and fierce. She loves with her whole self and despite her reservations, is still willing to put it all on the line once more for a chance to be with “the one.”
Jax may give off a persona as a rocker who is wrapped up in himself with an intense vibe on stage, but underneath is a man who pines for what he lost. He made the choice to leave, but he thought he was doing the right thing. I think Jax is always trying to do the right thing, but the waters muddy unfortunately.
I laughed with the characters, I cried with the characters, and I held my breath with them. Again, all the feels. Thanks Alyne for a great story!
