I bought these driver's mocs because I like the look of penny loafers but love the unstructured comfort of driving mocs. I have a few pair of "real" penny loafers with leather soles, and they're great but sometimes I Just want something really comfortable. These took a few hours to "break in" but once they were broken in well, it almost feels like I'm not wearing any shoes at all.

As with most loafers and slip-on shoes, size down 1/2 size if you like a snug fit and don't want your heel to slip. These were pretty snug at first, but the leather loosens up after a few days and now they fit perfectly.

My only gripe with these Rockports is that the leather scuffs up REALLY easily. I have another pair of driving mocs very similar to these and wear them almost as often, and they don't have a single scuff mark. But these things are scuffed up all over the sides from bumping into things while walking. I'm going to try to put some kind of shoe shine or conditioner on them, because as they look now I won't wear them to a meeting or with khakis, I just wear them with jeans or around the house. Hopefully I can restore them a bit.

Of course, if I were more careful maybe I wouldn't have scuffed them up in the first place. They have a very thin sole (like all driving mocs) so I should be more careful when wearing them.

All in all, I really like these and may order another pair of Rockport driving mocs in a different style to try as well.

They are darker than in the image. I bought 11 wide and they feel more like a regular width. They're a little tight, but overall comfortable for casual business shoes. I must push off with my toes more than I thought because after just one day the lower edge of the toe got scuffed up and I had to apply some shoe polish. The rubber sole doesn't offer the shoe any protection in that area. It has been a well-made shoe so far though.

The shoe is pretty good. It's a comfortable enough walking shoe without the clunkiness of my Ecco walking shoes. The problem is in sizing - they were 1/2 to a full size smaller fitting than I normally find in shoes. I had to stretch them using shoe trees (size 9) and alcohol spray (spray shoes liberally with 91% rubbing alcohol, insert the trees, leave for a day, repeat). After a couple of days of stretching I could wear them although one is still pretty snug. After a week it hasn't stretched much more from wearing it so I'll likely do the shoe tree/alcohol stretch on just that one. The other rubs the back of my foot near the Achilles tendon but is starting to form itself a bit better so likely only a matter of a little more wearing before it's perfect.

The size was off both in width (they're very narrow) and a bit on length. Not what I expected from Rockport - especially for such a common size (9D).

I'd likely buy again because I like the styling & I tend to wear the leather on the backs of the heel from it rubbing on the car's carpet when driving. But I would definitely go for the next full size up.

    ****UPDATE 12/12/15****
Okay after over a month wearing these I dropped them another star. They just don't fit. The width is far too narrow and they're not stretching enough - they don't have much room to do that either as the seams are starting to show a gap which means they'll likely split before the leather gives enough to make them comfortable. I just replaced them with a pair of Cole Haan's that fit perfectly out of the box. I do like the Rockport styling slightly better (although the white thread on the sewing needs to be dyed black to make it match, the contrast is not appropriate in this style) but I can't stand wearing these so off to the clothing bin for these.

I purchased a "Wide" and the shoe is more narrow than a "Regular."
Unfortunately, had to return the shoes. They looked well made and attractive, but the width is not "wide."

That's what my wife said when I tried it on. It looked great and I was excited to wear it. After 30 minutes of walking to the car, driving to the store, grabbing a few groceries and heading home, I couldn't wait to pull them off. They seem to run a bit small, but yes, they certainly look nice! I'm going to try stretching them for a bit and see what happens.

Quality of shoe is excellent for materials and fabrication. Re fit, length is OK, but fit over top of foot is tight. Width is stated as M, but it is probably a B?. They have not stretched with normal wear.

It took a mere handful of wears to have a hole emerge in the leather. Contacted Rockport and they did not want to help. These did not fit as expected and the immediate hole was extremely disappointing.

I can confirm that these shoes are too small, or rather too narrow. I wear 10.5W size and have 4 other pairs of Rockport. All are perfect fit.
There are actually a lot of reviews here of the same 'too small' problem.
My older Rockport shoes were made in Singapore, Brazil, and China. Rockport Men's Chaden Penny Driver Loafer are made in India.
My suggestion: don't buy those over Internet.
