Rocksann Finds God Paperback – Unabridged, 2014
It’s time to tell you the story of Rocksann and her most curious adventure. You might find it hard to believe this simple story because the most miraculous things are sometimes hard to accept. Nevertheless, ‘tis a story to be told. Rocksann has a mystical talent that brings to her the most unusual friends. Even so, as curious as Rocksann is, they can’t answer all her questions and neither can her mom. At the end of her rope, one day, Rocksann’s mother cries out, “Why don’t you go ask God those questions?” And thus, Rocksann finds a whole new world opening up to her. What will she find? The answers surprised even Rocksann!

Rocksann is an inquisitive little girl with lots of questions about life. The story takes us on a pleasant journey through some aspects of her inquisitive nature with interesting scenes of how that nature has played out in her life. One day her mother, weary of all the questions that come with Rocksann's explorations, suggests she ask God for the answers and Rocksann sets out to find a way. This results in a lovely section where Rocksann learns some very uplifting things about life that any child could benefit from.
Every few pages this charming story is enhanced by wonderful illustrations that help give form to the words as they stoke the imagination. As a tree lover I especially loved the part about Rocksann's trees with the intriguing illustrations to reflect on. The look and feel of the whole book is very pleasing throughout and goes well with this upbeat story.
