I drilled a few holes on a 5-Gallon lid and was off to a good start with the pots and wool plugs. Fill the bucket with hydroponics fertilizer, and our tomato seeds are sprouting nicely. So far so good.

Update 05/18/2023 - Beautiful lettuce heads in another bucket.
After the lettuce seeds germinated in the rock wool cubes, I put them in the net cups at the bucket lid. The bucket was filled with water (+ hydroponic fertilizer) until it touched the bottom of the rock wool cubes. Then, the lettuces grow by themselves. Very easy, simple technique, and carefree method- Once, the lettuce roots touch the water, I don't have to fill the bucket with water again. I don't change the water in the bucket.
