Ever since we discovered Rodelle we have never purchased another brand of cocoa powder. Once we couldn't find it locally, we started ordering it on Amazon. There's just no going back! Your desserts and hot cocoa will taste much better. Their brownie recipe is Yum! I do miss the plastic containers they used to come in, but these bags are good and they have a seal so you can reseal the bag. Amaze your friends with your chocolate baked goods! Yours will taste more amazing than theirs and they won't know why!

I love Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa. I have been buying it for years and years. It is rich and makes my chocolate baked goods taste amazing. I also put it in my coffee and it makes it taste extra special. Rodelle baking cocoa is pricey but worth the cost to me provided one gets a fresh product. I don't recommend buying this from Amazon, because if you don't get a fresh batch, you can't return it. It takes me at least a year to go through this much cocoa and the best-by-date for this batch is a mere four months away. Five stars for taste, but value wise, three stars due to the risk involved in perhaps not getting the freshest product.

Admittedly, although I was familiar with the Rodelle brand of products and even tried their extracts, I was not that aware of their cocoa until I did a guest walkthrough at a local Sams club. I decided to give this a try via Amazon given its impressive low price point/quantity/favorable reviews and I didn’t want to pony up the $$$ for the larger commercial kitchen sized bags of higher end cocoa import brands at warehouse clubs.

I’ve got to admit it does posses the deep rich aromatic bouquet, almost earthy coffee and fresh cocoa nibs while the flavor is full bodied like a Columbia French Roast bean with notes of tobacco. I heaped one extra ounce or two in every recipe from fudge brownie fudge ripple deep chocolate no-churn ice cream to your basic fudge brownie recipe slapped right on their package to Molten Lava cakes, and might I say this cocoa comes through front and center as the star! Rich, complex and elegant with no bitterness. Silky with no clumping in any milk based ingredient. I highly recommend this product!

As soon as I cut open this package of Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa, the amazing fragrance of delicious dark chocolate wafted through the air. This unsweetened cocoa powder is the ne plus ultra, the quintessence, the paragon of fantastic dark chocolate delicacy, flavor, and richness. I use it in banana smoothies: in a blender, place a banana, a cup of plain yogurt, and a cup of 2% milk, and blend well. Then, add a heaping tablespoon of "magical" Rodelle cocoa powder, and blend until incorporated in prior ingredients. Include a teaspoon of vanilla extract, if desired. This is a smoothie rich in nutritional value, not sweet...yet not at all bitter...and with a depth of gourmet dark chocolate Rodelle flavor. When I cook a Bolognese primavera with capellini, I add a dash or two of cinnamon, which gives the dish a culinary warmth. In the future, in addition to the cinnamon, I intend on including a level teaspoon of Rodelle, as well for a delicious smooth and flavorful essence. Rodelle is the "champagne" of dark chocolate cocoa powder.

Keto friendly, good source of potassium, and phenomenal flavor!

Most people are potassium deficient. Especially those on keto with the absence of several fruits and vegetables that contain high levels of potassium. Dutch processed cocoa contains 6% of daily potassium needs in 1 TBSP AND it is only 1 net carb due to the fiber content! I add two TBSP each day to a keto friendly smoothie and it goes a long way to getting potassium levels up and tastes amazing!

Rodelle is among the highest potassium per TBSP and has one of the lowest net carbs at the same time. Great job! Love this stuff!

I have primarily used Hershey’s cocoa since my mom used it to make her amazing walnut fudge as a kid. When I went to reorder another can of cocoa powder from Amazon they were sold out so I started looking for a “stand in” because I add cocoa powder to my daily protein shakes. I came across the Rodelle brand which I had never heard of before and because of the reviews I decided to give it a try as my “stand-in” brand. Holy cow is all I can say, the richness of the powder was much darker than the Hershey brand and the taste was incredible. My protein shakes never tasted better and now I am going to use it to make iced chocolate because the taste is the best I have tasted. From here on out, it’s no longer second fiddle and I’ll continue buying this brand as my go to choice from here on out. The best part is that the cost is even less than Hershey’s for a superior product. However I won’t give up the Kisses!

I normally wouldn't even write a review for this product, although I read all the reviews to help me select this one. Because I'm so pleased with it, I'm writing one. I just made no bake oatmeal drop cookies with this cocoa powder and they shouldn't have turned out as good as they did. I mean, they're no bake, so they're already at a disadvantage, but this cocoa powder has made them competitors on any level, including Olympics. Every bite, i'm like why is this SO good. It's the cocoa powder. The quality and richness is so evident.

I bought this based on all the good reviews, but there's many with good reviews. I don't remember what my final reason was for selecting this one as it was back in April, but it was defn. the right choice. I think if I was making any chocolate dessert for a crowd and wanted to impress, I feel this would get you there.
