Rokid Air AR Glasses make great home theaters. After three hours, they become uncomfortable. They give a 120-inch screen-like view. Text isn't as sharp, but images are vibrant. The text isn't as good. Although, still very usable.

It has 2 downsides though:
1. The aspect ratio of your video depends on the device you're connected to. The aspects ratios were different for each android device as well as between iPad mini and iPad Pro. iPad mini works best in my experience.

2. Few apps don't work with these. Prime video, disney plus crunchyroll and hulu in particular do not work (could be more but these for sure don't on iPads).

Still a good buy as long as you use the apps that it works with.

I think my phone may have been the problem - I would frequently lose connection to the screen if the cable connection to my phone got touched. This makes it useless for browsing things like TikTok or reddit. But for watching movies where you don't move, it was great

Works, but diopter adjustment only goes to about 2 diopters

It works, but I need 3.5 diopter adjustment, and although this is advertised as having a 5 diopter adjustment, it's clearly a lie. It maxes out somewhere near 2 diopters, so I can never get it focused for me, and since they are already glasses, obviously I can't wear glasses to resolve the situation. The image quality is decent, but the placement of the screens relative to your eyes is critical, so if they aren't positioned perfectly for your face (they aren't on mine), you get a weird smeared image and a bit of a double image. For me this is primarily for my left eye, but both eyes have the issue to some degree. So, overall, it's almost a good product, but the lack of the advertised diopter adjustment makes it pretty much useless for me. If you have good vision or only a small diopter adjustment, it will probably be mostly ok, but the finicky eye positioning will likely ruin the usability for many customers. Note that if you have a Samsung with Dex, it defaults to a different screen, so it won't mirror your phone. After some tinkering I figured out that if I turn off Dex, then I'll get the screen mirroring that I wanted.

I've used different types of headsets over the years because of FPV drone hobby. I avoided these glasses because of the negative reviews but decided to take a chance because of amazon's return policy. I'm using the Galaxy S22 with usb c cable to glasses. The image and colors are sharp. There is no screen door effect like my Samsung odyssey (Oled), Quest 2, Fatshark Dominators, Fatshark HDO's (Oled). The edges are blurry when viewing a browser window because of the fixed position, but goes away when watching YouTube videos, Netflix, etc.... Using the AR app also helps with blurry edges because you can adjust the window size and position away from yourself.
I used this adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08VDT3YGK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) to connect from RTX 3070 hdmi to play steam games. Liftoff simulator works great. I've only tried Dishonored 2 a little and looks great. Smooth and sharp. I also used this adapter to connect my HDZERO transmitter instead of using Fatshark HDO's. WOW Never using my fatsharks again!!!! Shady company anyway. Support HDZero!!! The image is bigger and a lot sharper. No aliasing visible. Hopefully won't suffer from the annoying fogging issue I had with fatsharks. I won't feel as vulnerable with my vision not being completely blocked.
In bright sunlight it does get washed out but in the shade under a tree they are fine. I later cut a piece of dark window tint I had laying around and just stuck it to the outside temporarily for outdoor use and for bright indoor use. I will most likely 3d print a cover later with magnets. Haven't felt any uncomfortable heat on the headset. People mentioned the size is not over 100" but it's all about perspective. Sitting in front of a monitor at a desk will appear to be the same size. When the illusion works best is when you are about 8 to 12 ft away from an open surface. Sitting in the same position, in front of a 65" TV and then putting on the glasses it does give the illusion that it's larger. It actually looks better than the 4k TV.
I read a lot of reviews calling these expensive displays with no AR because they aren't using a compatible phone or scared to download the app to enable the feature. I don't trust the app either but said screw it!! The things I do for AR. It only uses 3DOF instead of 6DOF so you can't lean into things in the AR space but the 3D effect is really NICE!! Using the 3DOF mode with multiple windows is kind of jittery when walking but fine when not moving. Multiple windows only work with 3DOF enabled and from the app. Using the AR browser is really slow loading everything So i just use DEX mostly. I have to play with the AR more. The FOV is small compared to VR glasses but so is Hololens and magic leap. I already knew this when buying.
I've been using these all day for three days now and I love them so far. I haven't tracked battery use but it's at least 3 - 4 hours using S22, which is plenty for me. You need the break anyway and phone fully charges in an hour so not worried. Still working on finding working charging solution. Gauged this by number of hour long videos watched back to back. I've been watching movies while walking the dog, watering plants, play along with ukulele tutorials, etc.... Haven't tried Mavic 2 yet. I'm sure i will find other ways to put these to use. Overall, I'm happy with them but agree that these should be less. The Quest 2 will definitely give you way more bang for your buck, if having to choose between the two.

Returned product. These glasses are only really effective in very low light situations. Thought that they would be good for a plane ride as they're not nearly as large and cumbersome as an Oculus quest and I just wanted to be able to watch tv. They do work, I was able to watch Netflix while on the plane. That being said as soon as someone open their window on the plane I was no longer able to view the image very well. I have a feeling in future iterations we will see something more of a true movie theater experience but it's not there yet.

These AR glasses are a HUGE step in the right direction. I would very much like to see future designs include the myopic adjustment feature that these glasses have include in all AR glasses, honestly the fact they these have that feature make it a major plus. The clarity and color of the image is awesome, it literally feels like your watching HD TV. I didn't play around with the apps much because I mainly bought this for gaming and cinema. My only issue is that it doesn't have its own power source. When plugged into my galaxy note 10+ the battery would drain at about 10% per hour of use. If the glasses had their own battery I would have kept them. I'm definitely looking forward to future models.
