Got this set to teach my little girl how to ride her first set of "real" rollerblades, so they will be used for light duty every other weekend. It has been over 15 years since I ridden a set of blades, so I wanted something with good wheels and bearings at a reasonable price. My experience level was advanced back in the day and I know what a good set of inline skates should be.

Quality, looks, and design is pretty good. I like the smoothness of the bearings and the sturdiness of the rail. Now, where these skates falter is in the fit and sizing. The size is one higher than what it should be. My feet are swimming in them and I have to crank on the laces and strap in order to use them.

Lastly, the insole is FLAT. I am going to spend extra money for some insoles that have arch support. Kind of defeats the price if I have to spend an extra $20 to buy an arch support insole. And no, I don't have a flat foot. After a few minutes, my arches hurt and I have to stop and wait for the pain to subside.

The final question is, would I recommend this rollers? If you can try them on for size prior to buying, then yes. Otherwise, no. The bad fit prevents from any enjoyment and overshadows the design and quality.

For those of you who are breaking your sk8's... the power strap is for holding your laces down ONLY! They are NOT meant to tighten your sk8's. I read that some ppl broke the main strap on these as well... while these sk8's are new, you have to gently work with the strap until it becomes loose enough to normally unsnap them. They are hard to snap and unsnap at first but just sit and work with it for a few and they will loosen up quickly. But be gentle or you will break them.

Other than all of this, I'm in love with these inlines. The size you order is the size it is. Ik some ppl say they have problems with this cuz they're one size bigger than the size they ordered but that is NOT the case. If you take the inner boot out and stick your foot in it, it IS the size you ordered. BUT what throws ppl off is that the OUTTER shell is a size bigger. This actually helps me. I ordered a size 8 and got a size 8 inner boot and about a 8 1/2-9 shell.

Now, on to the blade...
I'm an ex-avid blader just getting back into the sport. So I know a little something about them. The stock wheels on these seem to be about an 81A. That's great for all surfaces. The skate is NOT gold. It says it is but where you see gold in the pic, it's actually green. You CAN bust ramps with these but not grind cause the frame is aluminum (plastic is best for grinding). The laces are too short. You CAN tie them but it's tough. I'm going to order some Gorilla laces once I measure these and find my size. Gorilla laces last forever. They have metal tips and are EXTRA strong for countless pulling. Amazon can supply these. The soles of these are flat (like in most sk8's). If you plan on riding all day, you may want to get some arch support soles so you can ride more comfortably.

I was very excited to receive my skates as it had been 5 years since I was out roller blading. Most of the reviews were very positive. I was a little skeptical of the quality considering the price. My concerns were validated within 15 minutes of use. The track that holds the wheels in place on my left skate started to bend to the side and it was almost impossible to keep my angle straight.I developed a huge bruise and my ankle is now swollen due to the side of the skate rubbing against my ankle.I'm not sure if it was a defective skate or overall quality. I will be returning the skates this week. I would not recommend these skates to anyone.

These skates look good. I bought a size 12 while wearing somewhere between a 12 and 13 regular shoe. The fit is snug which I like in a skate but I would still say they run just a little small. The ride is okay. I don't live on the smoothest of streets but these skates roll well and the vibrations are tolerable. My main problem is that one of the straps broke on the 3rd time putting the skates on. The velcro strap on the right skate appears to have ripped right at the seam that was attached to the rivet on the outer boot of the skate. This is really unacceptable. I know for $90 these were not going to last forever but I thought a year or two was a reasonable expectation.

Overall the ride is good and the skates roll well. But, if i had it to do over I would go with a different brand and hopefully got a little higher quality.

I bought these based on the relatively good reviews, but was extremely disappointed. I bought a size 11, but this seems very large for a size 11. I had a friend who just bought a size 11 from another brand and we tried switching to verify the incorrect size. These RUN LARGE!

I also had a friend with a slightly larger foot try them out and after 30 minutes he had bruises on his ankles that were slightly bleeding. This skate has a lot of give inside regardless if correctly sized and will provide very little ankle support. Read the lower stars and you will see this is a common issue.

I actually went out and bought a pair of K2s for about $160 and was shocked at how nice they were. I was able to skate much longer distances and the wheels are incredible. If you glide down a hill, you can go about 30% further with the K2s over these. Don't waste your money on these.
