Problem 1: They squeak. A lot. Watch the video I posted. They squeak to high heaven.
Problem 2, part a: They're uncomfortable. These are size adjustable and there is a ridge that you can feel on the bottom of your foot in both skates where they slide in and out to make them longer or shorter. I tried to take a photo of the ridge which I've attached to my review.
Problem 2, part b: They're uncomfortable. The tongue is made of plastic and pushes into your calf as you lean into the skates.
Upside: The wheels seem good. They're rubber and are smooth. I did not go outside with these (tried them on in my living room) but I think these wheels would be comfortable and smooth on asphalt.
I wear a size 7 in women's shoes and the size skate 6-9 fit me perfectly without me having to adjust the size. Maybe my old skates were excessively heavy-duty, but these ones seemed unusually light-weight. I suspect if I had run into anything (such as a curb or a rock) then they'd crack pretty easily. They almost felt...cheap. The brake took some getting used to, it's a bit higher that the one on my old pair AND it is on the foot opposite of the one I was used to. I really had to lift my foot up off the ground to get the brake to touch - not good for someone an uncoordinated as me. Within 10 minutes, my foot cramped up on the sole but I'm not sure if that was due to the skate or something else. I will say that my old skates never caused my feet to cramp up.
In conclusion: I recommend if you are a size 7.5 or below - DO NOT BUY THESE SKATES. Unless you want to double up your sock game. Which honestly is not even worth the hassle given the over all value of the skates. I’ve only worn them handful of times and the plastic pieces are already coming apart. 👎
