As the review title says, grab this book and the others in the trilogy if you want to get your feet wet in horror with a side of humor.
The first story is told straight from Aphrodite and this Greek goddess has made it her personal vendetta to punish her enemy for the murder of her true love. Her devious antics leave a trail of chaos and casualties each time she appears. Next, we have some familiar characters doing some unfamiliar things. Trey has managed to outdo himself with the life he captures with his art. Will his muse uncover a secret well kept for the whole of the trilogy? Finally, we have a unique take on St. Dwynwen's Day and the tradition of Welsh men carving lovespoons for their sweethearts. While Tudor uses somewhat nontraditional materials for his craft, he manages to immortalize his love with spoons and lying on the memories of all lovers past.
This collection truly is the perfect ending to years of bloody valentines. The knowledge of Greek mythology and details for some intricate procedures is particularly impressing and coupled with a dark sense of humor, this one will have you in stitches.
Recommended for those who would like to just stab the heart right out of Valentine's Day, or have a peek in on the twisted fates of those suffering from eternal love.
