In Once Upon a Christmas Wish Dr Jenn hires the one man she couldn’t forget to teach her to ski. This sweet story touches the heart as old lovers find themselves once more.
Taylor rescues Jordana not once but twice, both times a year apart in Love in the Snow by Michelle Jo Quinn. They agree to help one another out, but with disastrous consequences. This is a light-hearted romance with two people who find each other in the midst of chaos and the unexpected.
Misunderstandings abound in Okavango Angel. Anniversaries mean different things to Katherine and Aaron and when Aaron’s interest appears to be caught up on a guest who is a look-alike to his ex-fiance, Katherine is convinced that their romance is over.
A burnt out doctor goes home to attend her cousin’s wedding in All I Want for Christmas by Monique McDonnell, but the best man has a few tricks up his sleeve. Cobble is the sweet romantic retelling of The Elves and The Shoemaker bringing a warm glow to one’s heart as Brogan and Alba get their happy ending. One just hopes that Alba’s dreadful brothers eventually get their comeuppance!
I’ve read other books in the Married this Year series by Tracey Pedersen and it was a delight to read Married This Christmas, when a potential disaster brings old and new friends together, resulting in an event that none of them could have planned.
After the death of her father, Winnie finds that the prejudice against female electricians is alive and well in Light Up Her Heart. This is a gentle love story of two people wading through misunderstandings to come to a compromise.
The hilarious The Twelve Debacles of Christmas is a light-hearted and fun story that makes one think twice about the spirit of Christmas.
Most of the stories in this anthology take place in Australia or Southern Africa, where temperatures are high over the Christmas period, but for the most part the traditions of a European Christmas are still adhered to. They all speak of romance, some hint at passion and all of them are enjoyably clean, making them suitable for most readers. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Christmas Kiss, New Year’s Wish was a good friends to lovers. They have been friends forever but kissing at a holiday party finally gives them a push for more. It was sweet.
Once Upon a Christmas Wish is a swoonworthy second chance romance. I love that they spent so many years apart and it didn't seem to matter except that it let them grow. This one made me tear up a bit.
Love in the Snow- Taylor and Jordana both had sucky exes that cheated. I love how they met-shows she is not someone to be messed with. Their plan is a little crazy for Christmas and I love how it worked out.
Okavango Angel made me cry. It's unique to have a love story where thyey are already together in the beginning. Christmas in the African bush was interesting.
Christmas Kiss, New Years Wish by Joanne Dannon
I absolutely loved this story. Taylor and Luca have been best friends forever and are perfect for each other. They know and accept each other better than anyone else. This story is filled with heart and emotion.
Love in the Snow by Michelle Jo Quinn
This is another good story. Taylor and Jordana keep meeting by chance. They are both healing from a bad experience and need to learn how to trust in the future.
