I can sincerely recommended this book to Romance Readers who love a story that is mixed with quirky characters, suspense, reincarnation, mystery, beautiful ambiance, and of course a romance that transcends time. Once starting to read you won't want to put it down until you can get to the end and solve the romance-triangle-mystery.
Rebecca Dumaurier ( legal attorney for famous romance authors) flees to the alluring promise of a very relaxing, much-needed vacation in peaceful, new age Sedona Arizona. Ms. Polo brings out all the ambiance of Sedona, bringing the reader right into the mystic city and all its magical beauty. You feel you are right there, with Rebecca, experiencing it all.
But her hopeful vacation turns into a dangerous game of a lovers triangle in the strangest way possible. Rebecca meets trance channeler Tom and so starts a light romance that seems to promise good things. But then a mysterious stranger shows up, seductively wooing her, and Rebecca finds herself comparing the two men. The only problem is that she's never actually SEEN the face of the stranger. She knows his voice, his love-making, but he's always in shadows she can't get past.
Things turn crazy, suspenseful romance escalates, quirky characters invade her vacation, and the twists of this intriguing plot keeps you turning those pages holding your breath.
KUDOS to Ms. Polo for a very unique and memorable romance!

A lot of the weirdness of channelers and the strange dress and habits of famous authors were revealed. That was amusing, but for this reader (who prefers realism), it was not exactly my cup of tea. I do think it will be a raving success among Sedona readers, however, who do relate to such scenes (if the articles in Kudos, a local arts magazine, are to be believed). A worthy first effort, I think. It made me chuckle because of all the Sedona woo-woo stuff in it.
