This is the first official book I have read from Cami. I have read her work through book collections with other authors. I was really looking forward to reading this one because I read an excerpt and Tess was hilarious. And anytime you add in survivor skills and having to be left alone with an attractive military man, you can count me in. This was a great first book for me to read and I am so excited to read more in this series. I wish it would have been more of a slow burn type of romance. Not really sure how to explain it because things didn't move too quickly on the relationship side of things because of a vow that Brit had made. But I’m one of those really slow burn romance readers that love the build up and anticipation of the first kiss and for me I felt it was done too quickly. I know they only had a week to get to know each other so I guess it would have to be insta-love in a way, but we got more of the anticipation on waiting for the ending (which I won’t spoil) verses throughout the book. I did love the longing & desire they had for each other, I just wish that first kiss was as drawn out. People may not agree with me and there was a slow burn type feel to the book, but I just like it to be in all the ways. Anyway, like I said I did enjoy the book and I am looking forward to more in this series.

I’ve read thousands of romance books since I first discovered them in 1973. I have to say that I don’t believe Cami Checketts could write a bad book if she tried. Her books are full of heroes and heroines, princes and princesses, and every day people like you and me. And, she brings them to life with her amazing talent! Her books are full of laughter, love, suspense, kindness and yes, they’re even HOT, but always a clean Christian contemporary romance. Warning: Cami’s books are almost impossible to put down!

What an enthralling start for this new series. While it first appears to be just another Ex-Navy SEAL on a reality tv show it is entirely different from any that I have read. Cami is a first rate storyteller that knows how to get both your heart and mind involved. She usually incorporated old- fashioned values like truth and faith. Here she delves into Honor and what a story she tells.

I don’t need to reiterate the story, just want you to know that I loved this well written tale with complex characters in an ideal setting, yet all does not go according to plan. I figured out “the treasure” early on and thoroughly enjoyed Brit’s and Tess’ search.

Great premise, love the idea of a billionaire who wants to give away his $ to help people. The author has come up with a really creative plot line.

This book was pretty easy to figure out, the author hints at a big “I can’t ever fall in love because of ...” but she drops enough hints at the beginning of the book and throughout that you can figure out the way it will all work out long before the big reveal. Which for me was fine because I love her character development and enjoyed reading the book even if I thought I knew the ending. Just purchased the rest of this series. 😂
