This road trip turns out to be the adventure of a lifetime and - it'll change everything!
I really loved this story. It is really sweet and charming, funny, gripping and - well, it was hard to put the book down. The characters are amazing, especially Brooke is someone I'd love to have at my side when going on such a trip. I loved all the small scenes when Brooke and Pete fulfill another one of Aunt Mamie's wishes. They are all very special and I'd have loved to join them. The people they meet, the things they experience and the easy acceptance and friendship offered to them are wonderful to read about.
A wonderful story of love, friendship and new chances!
I received a copy of this book from e-Books Discovery in exchange for an honest review, and am happy to recommend it wholeheartedly!
Pete is leading TV reporter and anchor, who is the heart throb of America. Brooke is an accountant for a trucking firm living in their hometown who takes keeps him grounded. They have been friends since childhood. When Brooke can't arrange the funeral that Mamie that Mamie requested, she talks Pete into taking a round trip to honor Mamie in the style that she wanted. This is a funny lighthearted romance. It is a little dated at times, but still good. I really liked Beauregard and Evaline at the end of the book. I recommend this book.
I wasn't quite sure about this book at first but after a few pages wanted to read more. It was well written and drew me in. I really didn't imagine for one second what would happen and i must say the ending was one of the best I've ever read. I loved the way each chapter started and the way each of the main characters played out. Im glad I read it and look forward to reading more from this author in the future. A very good read indeed.
I loved this book! Between Coop and Brooke, you can just feel the pull to each other. I loved their chemistry!
Let me just say that Mamie sounds amazing and I wish I had her in my family! Also, I really loved the whole idea of honoring her through an awesome road trip! I definitely recommend this book!
