I purchased this as a HS English teacher. I searched the web for an audio version that I loved which proved to be fairly difficult; it must be my immense attachment to R + J and the need to get it just right. I stumbled upon this version and immediately had goosebumps. The rendition is beautiful, the readers really let the characters jump off the page and allow for the listener to have more understand of what’s going on.

Does a good job of stressing the humor during certain scenes, accenting the rhythm to aid in listening. All of the VA’s did a great job.

I was having difficulty reading this very book, so having the audio book to listen too as I read along really helped. Hearing the accents and inflections as they were intended made the story come alive. The voice actors did a great job

This audio book is separated by chapter, not by Act or Scene. I used to have an audio copy of the Folger addition, this one makes it challenging to find your place in the text while you listen.

This is my second year teaching Romeo and Juliet to freshmen, as well as my second year using the audiobook in class. My students read along as we listen to the play. Each year, the Folger audiobook has helped greatly with their understanding and enjoyment of the play. The actors do a wonderful job of communicating the meaning of the text, so the humor and drama come across clearly. While I especially recommend this audiobook for teachers and students, I think it would also be useful for members of the general public with an interest in Shakespeare.

Performance was good but the quality of mixing and editing is of the worst type. Some lines are too loud and some can not be understood at all.
