Romy by Nirina Stone has amazing imagery that places you right there with Romy, going through everything that Romy did. Nirina Stone's characters have depth and I felt like they could step off the pages and talk to me. Set in a world that could one day be reality, Nirina Stone's story did an amazing job of showing that we can learn from our mistakes and that we don't have to kill to get our points across. Romy is short and is a quick read; time goes quickly, but it doesn't diminish from the story in the least. Romy is an amazing book. I will be on the watch for other books in the series as I can't wait to learn what happens to the new world Romy is helping build.
From the Author
Like many authors, I'm a voracious reader first. I'll choose a good book over a party or tv show or a new outfit, any day of the week. So, when an awesome read comes my way, can I admit that I can get a bit obsessed? E.g. I've read Stephen King's 'The Stand' oh, about three dozen times...and that's no exaggeration. Books have always been an important part of my life.
So, when a Dystopian idea came to me (and Romy basically wouldn't shush) it only made sense that books would feature, too. I hope that our world isn't heading towards the Great Omni hinted in these stories, but just in case...I'm stockpiling...good books.
ROMY is the first instalment of the 2250 Saga. Book 2 is the continuation of Romy's journey, followed by the EXPLOSIVE finale in Book 3 (both coming in 2016).
If you enjoy the story, please leave a review (it doesn't have to be long)! There's nothing more powerful than word of mouth.
