Blog postA couple of weeks ago I encountered what my roommate described as “extreme laziness.” A little background…
I am moving out of my apartment and we did a lot of work on it on a Saturday. Finally, my back had had it (I have a bad back) and I told Pauli (who was helping me) that I couldn’t lift anymore. So we gathered up the remaining items and headed home.
The next day (Sunday), I had absolutely zero energy. I tried coding, which helps alleviate boredom. I couldn’t concentrate. I9 months ago Read more -
Blog postStress can trigger mania in those suffering from bipolar mental illness. In this short article, I will go over what mania is, the symptoms, and how to combat it.
What is Mania? Also known as “going manic”, mania is a serious mental condition where a person’s mood is typically elevated.
Here’s a definition:
Bipolar mania, or simply mania, is a phase of bipolar disorder. It is characterized by sustained periods of abnormally elevated or irritable mood, intense11 months ago Read more -
Blog postMindefusement was published in March of 2019. To be honest, it hasn’t been well-received (meaning lack of sales and reviews). I decided recently to re-read the book as a reader to see if it has any merit. I admit, I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Here’s my review below (warning: spoilers ahead).
Introducing the Characters The first half of the book is introducing the characters, going headfirst into torture templates (the ideas that clients want to bring to life), and a history1 year ago Read more -
Blog post“You’re so stupid!” I said in almost a yell. My friend Pauli couldn’t operate the Roku remote. I was frustrated. She had been short and crabby with me all night. Little did I know the bed she was sleeping on was almost her death bed.
Let’s go back in time for a second. The year was 2011 and I moved to Oklahoma City. I went to a karaoke bar and sat by myself. This chatty older woman sat down next to me and bought me a few shots. She was an intelligent conversationalist, and that kinda1 year ago Read more -
Blog postI’ve been struggling with anxiety for decades. It’s painful. It affects my mood. It’s probably one of the main factors that ended my first marriage in hindsight. It’s very likely it’s what caused me to drink heavily, resulting in horrible liver factors and possibly the cause of my diabetes.
What is Anxiety For Me? For me, anxiety has me on edge 24/7. There appears to be no root cause for me. I just have it. It starts in the stomach. It’s a constant churning. If it’s bad enough, it mov1 year ago Read more -
Blog postI have written about Karaoke a lot on this site. I have opinions. You have opinions. So be it. The posts are just from my own personal experiences with Karaoke.
Here’s what may be an unpopular opinion: Karaoke should be a judgment-free zone. Hear me out.
When someone is brand new to Karaoke, they’re putting themselves on the line. It’s scary! Remember your first time in front of a crowd? It was likely nerve-wracking. Alcoholic beverages help with the anxiety and the “guts” fac1 year ago Read more -
Blog postGoing off of Xanax has been a life-changing experience. My psychiatrist prescribed it for anxiety, and I mostly used it at nighttime to help me sleep. I wasn’t abusing it per se, but I took it nightly. I was on the 2MG tablets, which is the highest dose.
Why Were You Taken Off Xanax? For starters, let’s get into why I was taken off Xanax in the first place. For those who do not know, I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, with tendencies to go manic or depressive if I am not on1 year ago Read more -

Blog postI was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes about 2 years ago. It runs in my family, and I was an alcoholic, so that may have had a lot to do with it.
I have since quit drinking, which helped my liver recover, but my blood sugar A1C was hovering around 15%, which is incredibly bad. I would go on sugar binges, sneak snacks into my friend’s house, and go for snacks after I would leave my friend’s house.
I didn’t check my blood sugar regularly because I knew it would be high. I just did2 years ago Read more -

In the spirit of the other posts, I’m keeping this one short and opening it up for comments.
Why do you think Uno & Friends is going away and please feel free to share your frustrations in the comments.
