Smith does a wonderful job of picking up where Renovating the Richardsons
left off. Readers who have devoured the first two in the Tales from the Goose Creek B&B series will not be disappointed in the third installment. The story is fun and laugh-out-loud funny in many places. The characters are ones you can relate to and are reminiscent of real-life people. The writing is elegant and beautifully descriptive which makes it feel as if you are standing in the Bed and Breakfast and seeing it for yourself. You fall in love with the characters and hope against hope that everything turns out for them the way it should.
Millie and Al Richardson are fully ensconced in the continual renovations of their soon to be Bed and Breakfast when Millie is asked to open a room early for a guest. Sneaking behind Al's back, she decides to do so since it will act as a trial run for when they really do open the doors. Not only does Millie get caught up in being hospitable to her guest, she gets wrangled into helping host the wedding of her employer and friend. Little does she know a fall down the stairs puts her in a precarious situation where she is forced to hand over some of the responsibility she has taken to others. Her friendships change in ways she can't imagine and Millie learns to be a new friend to one and a good friend to another.-- RT Book Reviews, 4 STARS

How exciting to return to Goose Creek to check in on my favorite characters and see what's going on in their lives. Things are really happening in that small town, and naturally some of the residents are up in arms about the changes. My research for The Room with the Second Best View
took me to several lovely Bed & Breakfast establishments, where I met some of the nicest people ever. It takes a special kind of person to run a B&B, and I think Millie Richardson has what it takes. As for Al...well, maybe he'll get used to the idea! Thank you, dear reader, for journeying to Goose Creek with me.
