Format: Hardcover
After reading "Barefoot Days" I wanted to read more by this author. "Room for One More" is auto-biographical in nature. Anna tells of her life with her husband raising their 3 children and how they came about to raise 3 foster children. It is a book of love and child rearing. Some of the stories she tells are funny and some are heartbreaking - just as life is. The author has a delicious sense of humor and timing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Any one who has taken in foster children would enjoy this read. It's a bit dated (1949), but still delightful.

I am reading this book right now. I have seen the movie several times and never knew it was based on a true story. I found it on Amazon, thank goodness, and am really enjoying it. I love reading of days gone by, and this is such a good family story. So glad that Amazon had it!
