From the Editor

When I think back on my early twenties, I remember a feeling of overwhelming optimism and possibility. I had this fantasy of moving to the city, getting an airy apartment downtown, and adopting a jolly orange cat that I’d name Grenadine. I’d have a meet-cute with a handsome guy in the produce aisle of the co-op. I’d work in a bookstore. I had a sense of urgency, and the thrill of everything just beginning.

Sariah Wilson has captured that feeling perfectly in Roommaid, with her signature blend of humor and sweet, clean romance. Madison Huntington is just starting out, and she knows what she wants. She wants to make a difference, devote her life to education—even though pursuing that dream means being kicked out of her disapproving parents’ mansion without her trust fund. So Madison also wants a great apartment—but she gets a rude awakening when she realizes that in her price range, the apartments are definitely not airy or full of charming quirks.

Luckily for Madison (and for we readers, who are along for the ride), she has the opportunity to live rent-free in the place of her dreams, just so long as she takes responsibility for the cleaning and pet sitting. Not an easy feat for someone who never had to learn to boil water, let alone run a load of laundry. Watching her fake it till she makes it had me in stitches, and seeing the romance bud between Madison and her handsome roommate, Tyler, made me feel as fizzy and full of bubbles as the dishwasher Madison mistakenly overfills.

As I approach my fortieth birthday, I realize that my life turned out quite a bit differently than I imagined when I was twenty-two—but I wouldn’t change a thing.

Editorial Reviews

An Amazon Best Book of the Month: Romance

“This is a treat.” Publishers Weekly

“…beautifully written…charming characters.” Harlequin Junkie, A Top Pick

“A deftly crafted and splendidly entertaining read that is especially and unreservedly recommended to the attention of all dedicated romance fans.” —Midwest Book Review

About the Author

Sariah Wilson has never jumped out of an airplane, has never climbed Mount Everest, and is not a former CIA operative. She has, however, been madly, passionately in love with her soul mate and is a fervent believer in happily ever afters—which is why she writes romance. She grew up in Southern California, graduated from Brigham Young University (go Cougars!) with a semi-useless degree in history, and is the oldest of nine (yes, nine) children. She currently lives with the aforementioned soul mate and their four children in Utah, along with two cats named Pixel and Callie, who do not get along. (The cats, not the children. Although the children sometimes have their issues, too.) For more information, visit her website at
