My son is almost 4 and has a little trouble with creativity. So I thought these might inspire him. He loves to roll them and have us make up stories for him. He won't even consider trying himself, but we hope that he will forget himself and try to join the fun one of these days. We sometimes even play with them after he goes to bed using all sorts of rules to make wacky stories using all of the cubes and taking turns and such. Overall we all enjoy them a lot. My only issue with them is that 20 bucks is a lot of money for a few die. I think 5 dollars a box normal price would be much more reasonable and something more like 12.50 for the set of three. Retail for these 3 is listed at 40 dollars. They are just regular sized plastic die with interesting pictures on them. Very fun concept though, and for that I give them a 4 :)
Update: As of March he is now 4 and making his own stories and having a blast at it. I'm so glad we purchased this item. Most of his stories revolve around a very basic interpretation of the picture and are about his friends. An example would be "Kyle looked in a window. He saw an arrow on the floor. He eventually found a letter U. Then next he put a dancer on top of his house and his Mommy was like "what?" It's so fun to listen to and he loves doing it and I'm sure he's improving some important skills. I still think the set is over priced, but I'd happily pay it again for all the fun he has with these things.
