I've logged a lot of time with this game and at first I was really impressed. Beware there is a steep learning curve. It's not that bad if you've played games like Mount & Blade: Warband though. This game has great gameplay and the premise is top-notch. The problems stem from the developer making it free-to-play long after it's release. It's scared away a lot of the veterans because of a variety of problems. Firstly, there are tons of laggers in this game. It's not their fault most of the time because there just aren't enough servers available to international players. They end up joining US servers and essentially ruin many battles. It's very frustrating to lose a duel based on someone's connection (most servers don't have ping limits). The other problem is hacking is quite prevalent. Most hackers use a cheat engine to just speed up their play, which isn't too obvious to everyone unless they speed it up to an excessive amount. This completely ruins the balance of the game because there are plenty of penalties on heavy armor, heavier weapons, missed swings, etc. that can be avoided by speed hackers. This wouldn't be too much of a problem except for the fact that people who hack often never get banned. I've seen people with names that brag about hacking and these guys are often high levels. You can report them through Steam which I have done multiple times and I still see those same players later on. Even if they were to get banned they can just create another account and start over (free-to-play). The developers of this game failed to address these facts and have moved on to promoting a new game (War of the Viking) which is essentially the same game with a few tweaks. I cannot recommend this game even though it has been very fun at times. I hope the devs figure this stuff out in their future endeavors.

Amazing historical accuracy that is unmatched in medieval warfare games today. The ranking system will make you want to fight until you have achieved a knighthood and the coat of arms system is really the best.

Pretty boring game, multiplayer only. Multiplayer is terrible, the game is horribly imbalanced & the "look and feel" of the game isn't great, Mount & blade warband is a far better alternative.

Would be better if there was more to do, gameplay is fun though, and it runs rather smoothly for its age.

Felt like beign tricked on a fancy that I could play it the way I tought.

You just die a lot, to the point you push evey effort on versatile fighting and get bored.

Reapfire Gaming thinks this was a great bargain for this game plus they give you the access key code to Steam download so you can start playing within hours no waiting for a box to ship.

Other game distributors should take a page from their book and start selling codes to Steam Online offers so gamers like me can just buy download and play.

Thanks again
Sincerely,
Reapfire Gaming
