I liked my 2-antenna Rosewill N router so much, that I bought the 1-antenna Rosewill N router for my dad. He had a Netgear that has a weak signal and would drop connections frequently. 1.5 years have gone by and he hasn't complained yet! This is great considering I would get a complaint about the Netgear router every two months or so. Rosewill routers have my full confidence.
1) Best performance I've ever had in a router - period.
2) Smaller in size than other routers. This is a very tiny router.
3) 1/4 to 1/2 the price of other brands for the same or better specs.
4) Attractive design that will last for years. Not some fancy gimmicky look that changes every year.
1) Instructions are poorly written, but can be followed without problems.
The set up was not difficult on a PC. If the direction are followed, the setup takes less than 10 minutes. The setup requires you to do a little more than other router brands with plug-and-play styles - however the extra setup time is worth it. In 2 years, I've never had to reconfigure my settings again.
If you are looking for a wireless N router with blazing speeds and reliable performance this is the router to get. I got tired of reading poor customer reviews for $100-150 routers.Read more ›
8/9/2012 Update - this router is still working as expected and zero issues. For giggles I took a piece of paper wrapped it in aluminum foil faced in the direction of other side of house and was almost getting full speeds on my mobile (that's 4 walls two tvs and a microwave that was running) I was only getting two bars in the same place before. I'll give it a few more months then I might change the rating. I will defiantly suggest this to my friends and family.
These things should be flying off the shelves, if they ever go on sale I'll purchase another one as a access point (turn off dhcp and use a LAN port)
But today my notebook suddenly stopped recognizing my wi-fi printer. Granted, there can be LOTS of reasons for that. But after running through all the likely ones (with no luck), I realized the only thing that changed recently was the router. So I swapped out the Rosewill for my ancient Microsoft router and VOILA the printer started printing out pages. Went back and forth a couple times to be sure; but it's clear at this point there's something weird going on with the router.
Called Rosewill tech support. The tech was willing to expend ZERO effort on diagnosing my problem. He insisted that my subnet was wrong (I'm using DHCP - how COULD it be wrong?) or the printer was broken (never mind that it's not broken with the old router). He didn't ask me about any settings whatsoever. So it's going back. I asked for an RMA number, which he said he'd send out right away; but I'm still waiting for it.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a router. Yes, the price is great; but now I know why.
Turns out that changing a setting in Wireless...Basic made the problem go away. I changed the channel from 11 (the apparent default) to Auto Channel. There must have been interference on channel 11. I found this by randomly changing innocuous settings in the hope that SOMETHING would help. Rosewill tech support should have helped me with this, rather than leaving me on my own to struggle with it. Also never received my RMA. I stick by my original assertion: TERRIBLE TECH SUPPORT; and on that basis, I don't recommend this product.
Aside from that, it's a very good router. It can cover my whole house and beyond which is considered larger than the regular household in the US. Now that I'm living on campus, speedtest says 100-110 mbps up and 20-30 mbps down (wired connection because wireless is unnecessary since I'm so close to the router) but I don't know if that's just the college internet being slow or not. But since it has 802.11 b/g/n I'm pretty sure if you have the internet connection it can go up to 300 mbps which is Chuck Norris' internet connection.
The only problem with this is that back at home, I had like four computers my android and a Wii hooked up to the router simultaneously and when the Wii would connect to like online Mario Kart then the performance would suffer for the computer that was running a hosting bot. It would also have a hiccup every two hours of so if that many devices were connected to it at once. No big deal since it was just used in my house and now for my laptop and android not like some big corporation with over 9000 connections at a time.
For the money you pay for this router, I think it's a really good bargain as it out performs the linksys that cost 2x as much and is very stable.

It's a shame this router has been phased out and replaced by dual band versions. I've had this router five years, bought it when it was new to the market. Read morePublished on January 12, 2014 by tom4416

This is very nice router and signal strength is great, it is able to even pick up signal from outside and through walls with 4 to 5 bars, so it is excellent.Published on May 12, 2011 by Student1
