Supported directly by Linux and Windows. No special drivers or effort required. Turned a spare box of mine into a firewall/router with little to no effort. I have not yet put the card under severely heavy load and tested it but it works fine routing internet traffic at >10Mbps.

I’ve had a great experience with Rosewill products and this one is no exception. This device comes packaged in a nice box and includes an installation CD and instructions. You plug this into your computer, Windows does its thing, and you are ready to go. With a Windows 10 machine, it will probably find the drivers for you automatically (it uses the common RealTek drivers).

I have experienced no problems with it. My SpeedTest results show the same as on my integrated LAN, as does my ping and packet loss tests. From my testing thus far, this device works perfectly on my Windows 10 machine.

Short version: This is a high quality, easy to use, plug and play USB to RJ45 Ethernet adapter!

I will continue to use this device on a daily basis and will update this review if anything changes.

For full disclosure, I did receive this item at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I am an avid Amazon customer and rely on honest reviews, like this one, to make my buying decisions.

The Rosewill Network Adapter has not disappointed. For starters I like that it comes with a large bracket and a small bracket. This is extremely useful if you don’t know which computer you are going to put it in or moving it from computer to computer. It is sure to fit into any model with the option of both size brackets. I have found it easy to find drivers for just about any OS for this network card, that can be difficult with some. Some network adapters don’t have drivers for various OS’s but I have not run into that issue with this one yet, this includes Windows 10 which is the OS’s it was setup on. I can also say that the Rosewill Network Adapter does support at least 2 different networks. I did not test it out on more than 2 so I can only vouch for the 2. Keep in mind that this is a hard wired adapter so it is does not support Wi-Fi. All in all, a great product to buy for all of your network needs. As a frequent amazon shopper, I read reviews of products before I buy them. As a disclaimer I have to say that I did receive this product discounted or free in exchange for a review but please don't let that have any weight on my words. I am constantly reading reviews before I buy things on every website I go to so I know how important a good review is. I personally tested this product and support it 100%. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.

The Rosewill High Speed USB 3.0 to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet works fantastic for me. I wanted to be able to share my 4G hotspot (on my smartphone) over my home network, and was easily able to do so with this adapter. Using the built in WiFi adapter on my laptop, I connected to my phone and then used this awesome little adapter to share the connection with other computers over my 1000 mbps home network.

I was initially concerned about speed/latency when considering the limitations of USB. Rest assured, this adapter is every bit as fast as my built in 10/100/1000 Ethernet port. Files transfer in seconds, and I notice no latency issues what so ever. I as able to confirm that this works great with Windows 10, and the adapter is also compatible with older USB 2.0 ports. This is by far, the easiest way to add an additional gigabit Ethernet port that I have ever come a crossed. I received a discount on this item for my fair unbiased review. This being said, I take pride in my reviews and rely on Amazon personal reviews for my own purchases. I hope that my review was helpful to you. If so, kindly press “yes” to let me know.

Not much is needed to say about this, I had some on-board issues with my Ethernet port, so I bought this and it worked perfectly with no setup necessary. Would recommend to anyone who has the available port.

I needed to update a computer that was built by my fiance. This little card worked great! It came with a low-profile bracket option, went in easy and works great. It's supported by both Linux and Windows and I didn't need any extra drivers or programs to get it to work. It works great when networked with my other computers and it allows me to do everything I need to do on the internet without clogging up my speed. I'm very happy with this product!
I received this at a discount. The above review is my honest experience with this product!

card fails randomly. Will create lag spikes in windows itself. Video, gaming, normal usage lag. This lag continues until I disable to network connections in "Network connections". I am not able to enable the connections after though. I must restart the system to get them to work again. This happens randomly.
I am testing them on a win7 atm. But I plan to drop it into a linux machine and see what I can do with it.

Such a straight-forward, easy installation. I was expecting much more difficulty getting this to work in Windows Server 2012. Considering the built in Intel NIC in my motherboard wouldn't even work in Server 2012 without some driver installation trickery, I was almost certain these Realtek chips wouldn't be plug and play. But, low and behold, they were.

This is a compact little card that comes with both a full size and a low profile mounting bracket. The two NICs show up separately in Windows, and I was able to use Windows NIC teaming to create a team that I use to run about 6 VM's on Hyper-V. My network performance has greatly increased with this setup (and honestly, it's probably overkill for my home lab). I was initially looking at Intel cards that were more than twice the price of this, and many of them do not have out-of-the-box compatibility with Server 2012.

I felt a little more comfortable buying this Rosewill manufactured card over some of the other obscure manufacturers here on Amazon. The price is almost the same, and I've purchased a few (mostly) reliable products from Rosewill in the past - I can't say the same for the other vendors. The card was packaged well and seems about as sturdy and well constructed as you would expect.
