Readouts were fast and accurate. The LCD is clear and bright. Hook ups were easy and flawless. Very lightweight but built of sturdy materials.

After further review this tester has failed. Power errors on good power supplies. Even brand new ones. I know I first gave this a wonderful review but after 3 weeks of use it has failed me terribly. Am told by Amazon I no longer able to return the item. So buyers.. beware!!

Contacted Rosewill and they are sending me replacement. I hope it doesn't fail me... but their customer service was AWESOME!!

********** UPDATE 06/12/2014

They guys are Rosewill did a splendid job. Followed up on communications and was very understanding and quick to respond. I take it the original unit that failed me was a fluke and have since reassessed my review and stars for Rosewill. The replacement has given me perfect readings. Have used it to test over 35 power supplies and has not failed me once. Just to be sure.. it is giving me correct readings I double check with a multi-meter and my backup Thermaltake Dr. Power II and all readings have been on the spot!!

I purchased this because I desperately needed a replacement PSU tester, as faulty PSUs are a relatively easy problem to identify and a fairly common one at that. Unfortunately, after a few tries, this detector stopped working properly, and began to read false to every PSU that I used it on. Not sure what went wrong, or if it was defective from the start, but I was disappointed. For a 'store brand', Rosewill has usually done well by me.

The Design Quality of this digital computer power supply tester is amazing.
Sturdy aluminum construction, LCD display quickly and accurately give the supplies working condition. Good=(blue) Bad=(red) and to .01% accuracy & audio beeps.
only one 4 pin supply can be tested at a time but if one works they all work most of the time.
SATA testing is included. I recommend this tester for your addition to your diagnostic tools. It has a small foot print, can even fit in you pocket. Spend a few bucks more and get this one and stop guessing if your power supply is the problem or not. Its full-prof and of quality construction and will last a long time with normal use.

The LCD itself displays faulty characters, so its impossible to read the actual voltages. The only way I can use this is looking for either blue or red backlight to indicate a good or bad psu, nothing more.

I have had this tester for 3 or 4 months. In that time I have only needed to test a few power supplies. It worked fine until last week when it started failing every power supply I tested, even when the power supply is perfectly fine. Caused me a little bit of headache during troubleshooting of a client's PC. I replaced it with a tester from another manufacturer. We'll see if that one holds up any better. I won't be buying anything from Rosewill again anytime soon.

This is my second one of this model- not because the first one broke, but because it worked so well I gifted my first one to my buddy and bought a shiny new one. I haven't seen a tester yet that adds a load to the supply and this one doesn't either, but it seems to work better than a lot of the cheap PSU testers. We use a few different cheaper models at work and they all seem to pass everything that will turn on. This one fails a lot more than any other one that I have used. Anyone who has one of these probably has spare PSUs hanging out to test with anyway- and you will usually wind up swapping it in even if the PSU passes. But like I said, this one seems to be a lot more sensitive.

Sorry if that's confusing to read, point is- this one works better than any other that I've used, and for a really decent price.

This Rosewill RTK-PST Power Supply Tester is great! I had one that only had lights on it and it always left me guessing what it was trying to tell me. With this tester, you have no doubt about the results. It clearly shows you what, if anything, is wrong with the power supply. I fix a lot of computers and find that this saves me time and helps in the process of elimination when troubleshooting. It is well worth the money!

It's OK, does what I think it's suppose to do. Only use it 3 times now and all 3 times, it tells me that there is something not right on my PSU, even a new one, from a brand new PC, so I wonder. No way I know of to see if it's calibrated correctly or not.
