Top Customer Reviews
Likes: Quality, well thought out Design & Well Built, (2) USB 3.0 Ports using 20 Pin Internal MotherBoard Header & (4) USB 2.0 Ports using Dual internal 10 Pin MotherBoard Headers on Top Front, Internal Drives mount Perpendicular to Case for Side removal; (3) Internal Drive Racks Holding 2 Drives each - Each Internal Drive Rack can be Removed or Rotated; Top Mounted Drive Dock; Bottom Mounted PSU; Right Side Fan Mount for thin Fan over back side of CPU; Ability to Top Mount Corsair H100 Cooler; Includes internal SSD Rack; Velcro Hold Down for PSU; Black inside & out + plenty of Blue LED Fans. MotherBoard stand offs are pre-mounted!
Dislikes: Only Heavy if you move it often, (4) External 5.25 inch Front Drive Bays. Front pops off too easily if moved. Not fond of internal Drive tray mounts. Better than some we've seen. Prefer Side Rails as used on Rosewill Ranger Case. Beside MotherBoard mount - Middle grommet cutout should be elongated by 1 inch for SATA Cables as related to ASUS MB used.
Changes: Would Prefer (5) External 5.25 inch Front Drive Bays. Why: Using 3 Drive, 2 Bay iStarUSA Military Spec Hot Swap Drive Bays. See Specs below.
Further Comments: My Preferences... Really Like the Case. Compares favorably and preferred over Corsair Carbide 500R. As a Case made to stay open on a shelf, great! As a Case sitting in a cubby hole, surrounded by other shelf components, this Case does not work for me. Every HDD needs Front Access to Hot Swap. Going Up or Down in Case size...Read more ›
The case is large enough to work in.
It has removable panels on both sides to facilitate wiring.
It has cut-outs on the back plate again to help with wiring
The bays and plentiful and only the most ardent gamer or downloader with 5 or 6 drives and 3 cd/dvd/blu-ray drives will want more. Most people, however, will never fill all the bays.
It has 5 fans!!! and yet despite the fans, the case is very quiet.
It has filters over the front fans so its easy to keep clean.
The front panel is removable to access bays and filters.
Blue LEDs on the front are not too obtrusive (and after a year of so will dim down in any case - as they eventually all do).
For me, the top mounted usb inputs were a deciding factor as I keep my case at low level and didn't want to be bending down all the time to get to the. Even if you keep the case on your desk, I believe that top mounted I/Os are far better than front mounted as they less likely to get damaged.
I honestly can't think of any negatives for this case. I Love it .
I like the overall design of the case, but there are a few gripes:
1) The rubber for the cable routing was a good idea but there still isnt enough room on the back side to not have to cram things in.
2) This also affects the slim profile fan I installed on that side.
3) The plastic legs feel kinda flimsy compared to the solid rubber ones of the CM 690 I.
4) The case allows alot of air to pass through but with that is also much noisier.
But with all that being said I am happy with the purchase. Nothing short of a Corsair case with better side ventilation would be an improvement for me for the time being.
3.5 stars out of 5.

This thing comes with the bells and whistles and more than enough fans. What I really loved was how simple it is to fit in anything you want. It even is set up for SSD. Read morePublished 5 days ago by dLyonBW
