just open the terminal and type "sudo apt-get install rpi-update" then type "sudo rpi-update"
after it installs new firmware type "sudo reboot" then it will reboot and the wifi adapter should be working fine.
to manage your wifi adapter using only terminal you can install wicd just type "sudo aptitude install wicd-curses" then after it installs
type "sudo wicd-curses" then after it opens you will be welcomed with a screen showing the available wifi networks. If your network is not showing up, you can try hitting Shift+P and then in the “Wireless interfaces” section type wlan0. Press F10 and then Shift+R to refresh the connections and then select your network then press right arrow on keyboard to enter the password for your network. Check the box “Automatically connect to this network” and then select the encryption type. Type your WiFi password and press F10 and then Shift+C to connect. Once you’re connected, type Shift+Q to exit wicd-curses.
I lost my main wifi adapter (panda wireless) so I bought this thinking it would be a breeze to install just like the panda. Nope. I was wrong. First off, it's not plug and play. Windows 10 will not recognize the device. It comes with a cd with the drivers but who has an optical drive on their gaming PC nowadays? Not me.
Okay, I'll just go to their website on my laptop and download the drivers. Nope. Go ahead and try to google "Rosewill RNX-N150NUB drivers download" and click on the link. There's nothing there. The only link for drivers I found was from a sketchy third party driver site that I'd rather not download from.
A mainstream usb wifi adapter with NO drivers on the OFFICIAL page. Nice. I'm getting a refund and getting a panda wireless usb again because that actually worked out of the box with no hassle.
