Rosinanti (Which I so cannot pronounce if I had to say this out loud lol) This novel is quite a bit longer than Ros and is packed with so many emotions. I truly feel like I can read this a billion times and still not be tired of the world Kevin created. Wrath is undeniably so much different than Rosinanti. It just is so much more. Words truly cannot explain how amazing Wrath is. I tend to get stuck in Terra sometimes which I have no regrets about. I don't want to leave that world.
This novel continues on right where Ros leaves off...so without a doubt read in order. Sera truly shines in this one as does Maura to show that these women are not one to mess with at all. They both can hold there own in any type of battle or element. My Kay is truly a beautiful man to hate in this book. Kay and Val truly do have some epic battle scenes in this going blow to blow. If you couldn't tell I'm partial to Kay a tad more than Val. Aleksandra my wicked role model. All I can say is she is the center of one of my favorite scenes that I don't think I'll ever get tired of. We do have some new characters in this novel as well which are perfect and fit in quite well with this main group. Let me just say also I'm waiting for Zouka to die a horrible death and patience is not a virtue with me!
I literally can ramble on and and on about Wrath but I probably shouldn't. I will say you can without a doubt, see how Kevin J Kessler has grown as a writer creating this incredible world you just cannot get enough of. His battle scenes are much more epic and just his over all style has suppressed Rosinanti by far. Ros is a fantastic debut novel which should be read before Wrath but you for sure want to get to this book next. Since this is a series I sadly do have to wait to see what is next for these characters and to see what's in store for this world.
I highly recommend this book and the whole series if you love some fantastic characters, a amazing world, epic battle scenes, and of course dragons and maybe a pinch of magic.
Valentean has been outed as one of the sole living Rosinanti, come back from seeming extinction. When returning home, Val thought to warn his people about the dangerous Aleksandra and her plans to destroy them all. But Aleksandra has proven craftier than our heroes could have ever anticipated, and now the tables have turned. Valentean is public enemy number one, and his princess Sera has been taken hostage, proclaimed to be possessed by the 'evil-spirit' Aqua. How will our heroes succeed in taking down Aleksandra if their own people consider them untrustworthy?
All is not paradise for the duo of doom either. Kayden and Aleksandra both desire power above all else, and they won't stand for even the other of them getting in their way. Aleksandra has the loyalty (born of fear) of her people so far, but Kayden plans to change that, taking all the power for himself and ruling over the inferior humans and creatures of Terra.
I LOVED Maura, even more so in book two. She is one feisty woman and can hold her own against some seriously dominating creatures and characters. I loved her Fire and spirit, especially in the face of great adversary and temptation to join the other side. She does not bend for anything or anyone, and she will fight for her newfound friends and the people of Terra with everything she's got. But will it be enough?
I cannot wait for the next chapter of these characters' stories. I love each and every one of them, and I'm really into this multiple character POV story-telling. It adds several more layers to an already kick-butt story. Here's to some great adventures to come!
You really need to read Rosinanti (The Rosinanti Series Book 1) and Rosinanti: The Decimation of Casid (A Rosinanti Novella, Volume 1.5) (The Rosinanti Series) before you read book 2.
The cast of characters all merge in book 2 from the first books.
Valentean, the animus warrior and one of the last of his race, and Seraphina, the princess who needs to learn that she has value and worth, are both back in this story. As well as Kay and Aleksandra to even out the score on bad guys.
Maura and the cast from Casid are a truly fantastic addition to the story.
I could tell you a lot that goes on in the book, but as a fellow reader I highly dislike any spoilers.
What I will tell you is that I am in love with the series. I cannot wait for more from the world of Terra.
Kevin J. Kessler is truly a master at building a high fantasy world that I want to live in and be friends with the characters.
This series is for sure a MUST READ if you like fantasy, magic, dragons and epic fight scenes.
I could keep going for pages and pages on this review, but don't just take my word for it...grab this series.

This is the second book of the series and it as good as the first, if not better. I had a real struggle to put this down and read in two sittings.Read more
Bravo, Kevin J. Kessler!!
