Since then, the triplets have acquired the Rosita doll, several picture cards of the Rosita character collection and the new Paquito y Abuelito book. The girls went crazy when they opened the package and pulled out the Rosita doll. She is absolutely precious! We are in the process of redecorating their bedrooms and I am sure Rosita is going to be a focal point in each room. I just read the Paquito book and loved it too. It has a very important message about life. In it, Paquito learns that life is an adventure not to be spent taking things for granted and wasting away playing video games. I am anxious to read it to my CCD class this Sunday. I am confident the boys will love it, as will the girls.
Well fast forward a few years & I now have a little one of my own. I want to buy him books especially bilingual books and obviously I think of this one! I purchased the book through amazon and when I received it my husband and I were delighted to see a hand draw picture within the cover and we just want to say thank you so much we truly appreciate touches like that!
The book was so sweet and made me choke up a few times reading it to my little one (when did I get so soft?) Can't wait to see what other stories you come up with.
I have shared this book with many of my colleagues, and it has become a staple of our lessons for elementary school students. With the coming of the Common Core State Standards, this book lends itself well to developing engaging lessons in reading & writing for schools following CCSS.
I was also pleasantly excited to find the personal drawing and signature from the author. Yay!
