I'm 5'10 and change, and weigh a solid 220 lbs with a 45-46" chest. I have an "athletic fit" when it comes to suit sizes because my chest/shoulders are a lot bigger than my waist. I usually buy extra large shirts because large is usually not big enough to accomodate my shoulders, and XXL makes me look like I'm wearing a Snuggie. I don't think I've worn a medium since middle school, before I discovered the bench press. That is, until now. I've had one of these in size:large that I acquired through a local army surplus store, and liked it so much that I had to get another. I read the reviews on Amazon and thought that even the shirt that I bought a size down was a little baggy, and decided to try a medium. When I got it on, I couldn't believe how much better and form fitting it looked compared to the large, and it didn't lose it's comfort going down in size. The sleeves are about 1/2 inch shorter than I would wear a dress shirt (it measured 34 inches from the top of the back to the end of the sleeve,) so it exposes a tiny bit of my wrist when I hold my arms forward, perpendicular to my body. The length of the torso is perfect, and the materials are awesome. It does need to be washed prior to wearing because it feels kind of itchy out of the package, don't know why, but not a big deal if you have a washing machine and you don't have to find a river and scrub with soap and rocks:)So if you have broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and don't like wearing your shirts like a blanket, this one's for you, as long as you can set aside your concept of size as we know it, and order one or two sizes down from what you usually wear.
