I wear an X-Large but since it was light-weight jacket-shell, I ordered an XX-Large so I could wear a sweater and other layers of clothing underneath the jacket, depending on the temperature....Big mistake! The jacket was labeled as an XX-Large but it was huge. The sleeves were so large at the cuff that I probably could have got my hand through the sleeve while wearing boxing gloves?? The cuff has a hook and loop adjustment tab but it only has about 1 inch of adjustment which was not sufficient to make the cuffs fit. I was also not impressed with the shinny fabric the jacket was made of, and there were no inside pockets
The jacket came about a week before it was supposed to so that was good. Opening the package, I was a little worried if i ordered the right size. Im 5-11 and weigh about 180 and have kept this old body in decent shape over the years. Also, I was concerned about how tight the jacket would be especially around the waistline as i carry a ccw on a owb.
man was I happy when I tried the jacket on. Make no mistake this is a nylon jacket perhaps the same as a lined windbreaker. maybe a tad heavier. The size is spot on for me in that its not tight and its not bulky. The nylon material is very similar to my old taticool windbreaker so this should give me some years of use. The four pockets are large and I can keep my large hands in those pocketsif it gets to cool outside. Just a side note for other ccw carriers.......forget about keeping your ccw in either lower pocket. This jacket aint that heavy maybe a very very light .380 or two-shooter.
The sleeve length was perfect out of the box. I wear about a 33" length dress shirt. All buttons are intact and the zipper has a smooth ride. We'll see about wear & tear and washing and if anything negative pops up, i'll post. i tried the hidden nylon hoodie and it would probably work over my veterans baseball cap. I did not detect any flaws, tears, rips, etc. It does have a light inner line that will work for cool SoCal fall/winter .
It gets 5 stars as a tacticool looking windbreaker that appears functional for its intended use. Now, Ive just got to save up and get my army fatigue jacket that looks like the real one i had when i was in. Remember it is made with nylon so it is not capable of extreme stealth mode. I did try this on with a light zippered hoodie and still had room to move.........
