I gave this product a four because it's bland. I guess I expected it to taste like the fat I get when I cook my own duck (which was over expectation on my part). Other than this small (and picky) complaint I think it's an excellent product, it just needs some TLC to make it really tasty to cook with.

I use this duck fat to make the most amazing popcorn. This is much more convenient than roasting the duck and collecting the fat myself, and the flavor is nearly as good. I will most likely purchase more of this after the current supply is gone.

This is beautiful white duck fat with NO added anything. There are other duck fat products here on Amazon that include Prime shipping, but don't be fooled -- they contain additives and they're not as good a product. Once open, keep this refrigerated, but it will last a lot longer than I will keep it around. There's nothing better for making my breakfast hash browns, and you haven't tasted potatoes until you roast up some Yukon Golds with this! This duck fat comes from Quebec, and if anyone knows ducks and duck fat, it's the Quebecois! Let's hear it for NAFTA.

Wow what an excellent addition to my cupboard. I made some fried pan potatoes and scrambled eggs using this fat and mmmm so yummy. The fat has a neutral flavor. I love that since my added herbs and spices are cooked to perfection Yes its duck fat but its better than frankenstein fats that are made in laboratory. I made the scrambled eggs with a little duck fat and real butter oooh so silky and smooth. Yes this duck fat is high in fat content but thats why it is used sparingly.

Everything taste better, including seared strip steaks in frying pan after Sous Vide bath. Can use higher heat for fast searing is a plus without smoking. Used to make scrambled eggs, french fries, home potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, & other veggies for a little bit more flavor. I can no longer cook without Duck Fat which gives simple plates depth of flavor. Arrived fast & very fresh. Keep in fridge to keep fresher.

Duck fat is the greatest and good for your health. Discovered duck fat and its benefits - it sure is good in the preparation
of potatoes and works great with eggs and meats - and roasted vegetables. Unbelievable taste to all of these foods.

Rougie duck fat is as good as the D'artagnan alternative. There's maybe a smidgen less satisfaction in buying it packaged instead of rendering it yourself, but that's life.

The price on amazon is far too high. 11.28oz jars of this stuff go for about $9 in nyc grocery stores. Usually $9 here means $6-7 in the rest of the country. However, the current amazon price is $37.50 for two jars. That's nearly twice as expensive as buying it at retail in manhattan!
