About the Author
Randel Conner, a farm boy from central Oklahoma, grew up in the small town of El Reno. At age 21, he published his first book, To Die Is Gain, which was sold in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. His next publication was a technical manual during his career at General Motors. He also has a short story in the book The Way We Were, Adventures In Childhood. He is a member of the Creative Quills in El Reno and has written articles for RV magazines and several religious papers. Randel is also an artist and emcees a country music show in El Reno. He has been married to his wife, Marilyn, for 48 years. Their Italian Greyhound, Elvis, keeps them entertained. The Round Rock Seven is a story of his childhood, with six other boys, which comprises the seven in the title of the book. Randel got his start working for the local newspaper in his home town. He attended El Reno Jr. College and served seven years in the Oklahoma Air National Guard.
