To get the full picture of this amazing story, it would be a good idea to read The Traveling Man & The Traveling Woman but you technically don't have too. This book takes you on it's own carnival ride, preferably a roller coaster. Plot twists, various emotions that are all intense, and then you have Tucker. Tucker, a beautiful man with a beautiful heart that just doesn't quite know how happy he makes others. He is a bright light when it's dark and now it's someone else's turn to turn his light back on full force.
I, personally feel the need to always write my reviews immediately after I've read the book because the powerful feelings within me from are lingering strong and I just need to get the words out. It didn't surprise me in the least when I went into this book and walked away from it longing for more. JHB has done this to me many times prior, my first book was Dangerous To Know & Love and that book is one of my all-time very favorite books written and it just so happens that there just might be a connection from one book to the other?? Only the wise author knows what may be up her sleeve or not...one can only hope!!
Five Stars is the highest they'll let me give but I'm very generous where this story is concerned. Jane Harvey-Berrick has put light in my darkness by her writing. When you just need a break from reality, fall into this book or any of her books.
Thank You Miss Jane for sharing your incredible stories with the Literary World.

"I'd never done anything like this before, but I figured that a man I was powerfully attracted to like Tuckers… this was the place to start living my live.”
Tucker didn’t have an easy childhood, ignored by his mother and beaten by his stepfather he leaves town after learning the truth about the girl he thinks is his girlfriend. He just walked away, joined the carnival and never looked back for 12 long years. Tucker is a man who enjoys his freedom, does what he wants, when he wants and with whom he wants as long as it stays casual. Due to his upbringing, the life he leads and his respect for Kes, he feels he doesn’t deserve a good girl like Tera.
“I knew Tera was attracted to me, and I was definitely attracted to her, but that was the problem. She was Kes’s sister: she wasn’t someone I could f**k and forget.”
Tucker and Tera see each other every time she comes to visit her brother and his wife; they feel a mutual attraction but don’t act on it. One day Tera decides she’s done, done with being the good girl, do the right thing and let her father dictate her life. She wants to start living, truly living and finally give in to her attraction to Tucker. Knowing he’s not a relationship kind of guy she offers him one night of hot sex, no promises no expectations. Tucker knows he should say no, she’s his best friends half-sister and she is, in his opinion, too good for him. After dancing around each other for a bit, they finally give their relationship a real chance.
Roustabout brings you back to the world of The Traveling Man and The Traveling Woman, the first two books in the series. I’ve really enjoyed seeing the people from the previous books, to see glimpses of their lives and relationships. The story being told isn’t an unique one, but it’s written in the beautiful style of Jane Harvey-Berrick, full of real feelings and emotions, love and hope.
“Shock, relief, satisfaction, astonishment, disbelief, hope. Most of all hope. So many emotions flowed through and over and around me. I drowned in them, drank them in, feeling unworthy, blessed, and determined not to f**k up.”
I was excited for this book since I heard Tucker would be getting his own book, and this story did my excitement justice. I loved the story, the leading characters, and the road they traveled. I give this book 5 beautiful stars.
