About Roy Britton
Writing gives me the privilege of teaching the Bible, which I feel I was created to do.
The pages and the passages of the Bible provide enough material for a lifetime of writing. The challenge for me is to express biblical teaching in ways which make the meaning of the Scripture passage easy to grasp but still display the power of the original text. My greatest sense of satisfaction comes when I believe my writing has encouraged my readers from the Scriptures and has given them a new or deeper understanding of the Bible.
Dramatically converted to Christ at age 31, I spent three years as a missionary in Russia, married a widow (my beautiful wife Lisa) with three children when I was a 46-year-old bachelor, obtained a seminary degree when I was in my late-40's, and have taught the Bible countless times, either one-on-one or in front of a group.
Most of my writing now ends up on my blog site, www.roysreflections.com, or in a book that I am hoping to publish soon.

End times Bible prophecy can be confusing, even for diligent students of Scripture. In The Last Act of the Drama, author and Bible teacher Roy Britton removes the mystery from the Bible's end times passages to reveal the beauty and power of these prophecies. Starting with definitions of key terms, the book establishes basic concepts and timelines, then shows how writings in Daniel, in Matthew, in Thessalonians, and especially in the book of Revelation weave these concepts together into a cohesive framework of events which culminate in the second coming of Christ. The Last Act of the Drama answers questions like:
- What is the purpose of “the thousand years” and where does it fit in the end times?
- How do we understand the four strange visions in the second half of Daniel?
- What is the meaning of “the 42 months” in Revelation 11-13?
- What is “Armageddon” and when does it occur?
- What is the sequence of events of the book of Revelation and when do these occur?
- What is meant by the binding and releasing of Satan in Revelation 20?
- Who is “the man of lawlessness” in 2 Thessalonians 2?
The reader of The Last Act of the Drama will discover that end times Bible prophecy is a carefully ordained plan which anticipates the second coming of Christ at the end of the age.
