I have to admit, I never thought I would be reviewing a plunger. But when something is great, it has to be spoken about, especially when it is as affordable as this plunger is. I have used many plungers in my day. I mean, there is five of us in the house and it never ceases to amazing me how often we need to use this plunger.

It gets even the largest and worse out..Just recently my son loaded the toilet with toilet paper and plugged very well-and there is no way I'm putting my hand in the toilet....I used this plunger with the bottom rubber out and it plunged it with no problem at all. The toilet was unplugged in less than two minutes. I love that it is easier to use this plunger than most, but it isn't too "soft". It is sturdy, but the rubber isn't so hard it hurts to plunge. I love that the handle is plastic. I can't count the amount of times a wooden handle has given me a splinter-plus when the water splashes back up, I'm always worried about what is left in those wooden handles. It is so gross. With this plunger I can wash the handle and feel confident I am not touching old toilet water. It is a great plunger!

I read ratings on this complaining that it smells like rubber. Yes, I guess it does. But folks, I'll bet that once it's been used a few times, it'll take on a completely different smell, and you'll miss that rubber.... Looks like a perfectly lovely piece of unpleasant to use equipment to me.

Bought both the Neiko 60166A and this plunger at the same time and tested them both out on a particularly bad clog. The Neiko was first up and plunged it once without success then tried this one. With round one over went back to Neiko and gave it two solid plunges with no luck then this one. With this one sealed well against the opening and 2 plunges the clog was free. No doubt in my mind that this one is the best. Not as attractive, but definitely worth keeping in some bathroom in the house.

This is perfect for its purpose of use. I have 3 kids and use my plunger frequently. So i need one that will work great, not just acceptable. This one worked perfectly. I had bought another one at wal-mart "expensive i might add" And the bottom seemed to be to hard when i tried to plunge the toilet it would not work rite or slide to the side. This one was not too hard so to soft either. I do prefer the plastic handle that this one has. No sliding on the wood and getting splinters. Plus i had the idea in my head that the wood absorbs bacteria, and you can never really clean it. This plastic handle i can get a Clorox wipe and wipe it. I do this to know there is not bacteria growing on the handle. When i bought mine i liked that i could use it with the bottom push in or out as pictured. As funny as it sounds my husband says it works better oout and i say in. This was easy to use and very durable. Made the ugly job a lot easier. You understand after you take a "My little pony" out of your toilet. I would say i will buy mine from here again, but this is very durable and will last me a very long time.

Plunger is well made and works well, we've used it 3-4 times so far.
If used with the bottom extension up, water and other things get trapped up inside the bell of the plunger so in order to clean it you have to reach in there and pull the extension down, not pleasant and watch for splatter. I'm going to try it with the extension down next time and see if the extension will stay down while plunging.

I received this product in exchange for honest and unbiased review. No other compensation was provided. I wanted to review the plunger to have my own in this house. The house has 2.5 bathrooms and needs 3 plungers. Nothing like having your toilet backed up and can't find the plunger.

My mother's plunger is on it's last legs. You have to do more labor to get it to work. The plunger part no longer functions. The downstairs potty needs a permanent plunger since it's the mens bathroom and worst bathroom.

Which leaves my bathroom. On those rare occasions, the kids throw a whole roll of tissue down the toilet and other items, I need a good plunger.

Still though, during the time, I had it, the plunger worked well on all three bathroom toilets. The plunger does require a little extra pressure since the plunger is more stronger, if that's the right word, than other plungers.

To be perfectly clear, I haven't had the (dis)pleasure of using my brand spankin' new plunger yet, but I had an urgent need to write a review. The plunger came as described and is waiting to be used. The rubbery smell isn't bad at all. In fact, since I keep it in a closet and not on my mantle, I can't smell it at all. My only concern is the handle seems short, but since I haven't used it, I will wait to judge whether this is an issue of icky proportions. I have a feeling the fine folks at Get Bats Out would love to give a refund if I'm unsatisfied, but returning a used plunger seems unsanitary and possibly illegal. My favorite part of this order was the poop book. It's an informative ebook that contains all you'd ever want to know about poo. Get Bats Out is number 1 in the business of number 2.
