    I like this thermometer so much better than the digital thermometers on the market these days. I find it much easier to use.

    We've had this thermometer at home for years, and we use it all the time. Because I rely on it so much, I had to order a second thermometer to use at our lake cabin.

    ACCURACY
    The thermometer is very accurate. I've tested it against two digital thermometers we have (and no longer use), and it reads the same as the digital thermometers.

    FUNCTION
    The digital thermometers we have always seem to need a new battery - and of course, I don't always have the right kind of battery on hand. It's frustrating when this happens and you need to know the temperature of something you're cooking. I finally gave up on the digital thermometers and will just stick to this one - no batteries required.

    I also like the size of this thermometer, compared to the digital ones we have (had). It's easier to store in a drawer.

    I am very happy with the quality, accuracy, and durability of this thermometer. I definitely recommend it!

    I've had this for a year, and it gets used about 2 time a week, then gets washed and tossed in the drawer without much care and it's still perfect. I've checked temp against a laser thermometer I have, and they tend to agree on temp, I am careful to never submerge it in water when I wash it, and always return it to its sleeve. I wouldn't wash it in a dishwasher.

    I use a thermometer several times per week. I thought a little one would be more convenient. No more getting tangled up in the utensil drawer. Bought the "brand name". It's SO slow at giving you a reading. I mean like 2 minutes to get a reading on a grilled chicken breast. I tried to make it work for weeks. But ultimately got frustrated and threw it right in the trash can. The meat would cool off before it would get the reading. Or if you left the meat on the grill, the therm would get so hot you would have to use tongs to pull it. Stupid tool. Don't buy one

    I bought two of these and both were a little off. The instructions on the back of pkg tells you how to calibrate. Easy Peasy, just don't be heavy handed when you try to adjust it or you'll be going back & forth for awhile. This type of thermometer has always been my favorite. We have a digital one, also. I tested it by placing it in boiling water which is 212° and it was quite a bit off. I have no idea how to calibrate it, nor do I care. I'll stick with what worked best for me, my whole cooking life. 😉
