Slim Jim trash cans and recycling bins are designed with 4 built-in venting channels that create airflow throughout the container. This air circulation reduces the vacuum effect that occurs when lifting out liners of traditional containers. Paired up with Hefty 30 gal drawstring bags this thing works perfectly. Just that when you set the bag in make sure it’s oriented such that the drawstring holes are centered along the side of the can (see picture). We love that we more fully use the 30 gal bags, which saves money on bags, and far less often have to take the garbage out. Don’t wait like I did, just press the button and buy it. Many smiles are coming your way after you get this, believe me!

It is a great counter height and depth, and bottom heavy enough to keep it really stable.
One thing to consider is trash bag options. Since it has a 33" perimeter opening, we need to buy a pretty large trash bag.

I never thought I would be excited for a trash can. This thing is optimized for its job. It's not cheap but it's worth the money. It's made from a thick quality plastic that will last a lifetime. I appreciate how wide it is, it's wide enough to put a whole pizza box into without breaking it down!
