We purchased our first set of these at a store, then ordered an additional set through Amazon. These are excellent containers for lunches for three main reasons: 1) Very durable; every night we put them in the dishwasher (top shelf, we put the small lids in with the silverware) and after over a year of use and daily dishwasher cleaning they are just like new. The lids stay snapped on, none of the containers have cracked or bent. The ice pack is durable and gets, and stays, *very* cold. 2) Excellent design and size meaning the way these fit into lunch boxes and hold food. The photo shows the containers and ice pack stacked -works great in a square lunchbox. A couple of the kids have "tall" type lunch boxes and these containers fit very well inside those lunch boxes as well. The square sandwich box fits a basic sandwich, anything bigger like a sub probably won't fit as well. That size is also good for a small salad, pasta, etc. The smaller sizes are great for salad dressing, ketchup, nuts, etc. Because the lids snap on tight we have never had an issue with leaking. They also are a good size for a hard boiled egg. 3) These make it easy to pack a healthy lunch. They also make it easy to pack a lunch the night before and have it ready to go in the morning.

So far, I love the sandwich kit. I decided I wanted to start bringing lunches to work instead of ordering out, so I bought the sandwich kit (sandwich container, two small containers, and a small elongated container) along with the Rubbermaid insulated lunch bag and extra cooling packs to snap on to the top of the three smaller containers.

For one, the modular nature of this product is really useful. Everything fits together perfectly, although the locking effect can be hit-or-miss in my experience. It fits nicely in my lunch bag with room on top for a yogurt and a piece of fruit.

Secondly, this holds the perfect amount of food for a light breakfast and lunch, as I am trying to watch my caloric intake. I can fit the following: basic sandwich (two pieces of bread), one egg, a strawberry and 10 blueberries, and 6-7 baby carrots and hummus. That should give you an understanding of the overall capacity of the kit. Regarding the sandwich container: it's sort of tight so slices of bread that are above-average size probably won't fit and you wouldn't be able to make a turkey club or anything tall like that unless the bread slices were small.

The ice packs keep my lunch perfectly cool up to lunch. I eat around 12:00pm, but they're nice and cold at that time so I'm sure they'd last into early afternoon. I also work indoors so other than the trip from home to work, the lunch bag is in a climate controlled building all day. There is no need to refrigerate it which is nice because I keep it in my office until it's time to eat.

I'm saving money by bringing in my lunch, not to mention I'm eating less and the food items are healthier. I'm glad I picked this up. Consider the three ice pack kit which is sold separately to add extra cooling. They are the size of the elongated small container, not the full size of the sandwich container which comes with this kit.

Like most of us, I have a cupboard full of mismatched storage containers. Always digging around trying to find pieces that match up. What's fabulous about this set is the way the bottoms of the smaller containers fit snugly into the grooves in the top of the larger container. It's the perfect set for a lunchbox. With the larger box for a sandwich or salad and the two smaller ones are perfect for goldfish crackers and cheese squares. While the medium rectangle holds a sleeve of crackers or a handful of grapes. The ice pack stays cold for several hours and all the pieces snap together so the cold is evenly distributed.
I've purchased 2 sets of these ( both from Amazon) and amazingly they all still have their respective lids ( since I store them all snapped together like in the illustration above). Clean up is a breeze. They dont seem to take on food odors and after 8 months of use they look clean and clear. No food stains or dullness from surface scratches. Highly recommend this product!

I liked the idea of the stackable containers that can be used with/without the ice pack. The green lids are a bonus. I purchased this to pack my son's lunches for school. His favorite color is green and he is five years old.

I also purchased a green lunch bag on Amazon (Bayfield Bags). It was tough to find one tall enough to hold this set and this bag works great. There is even room to spare.

The smaller containers do still snap into place without the ice pack. I noticed that when the ice pack is frozen, the small containers are more difficult to snap in.

The biggest container can fit a sandwich, which he won't eat, but I have used it for other things. I place silicone cupcake cups inside to hold crackers. I use the smallest containers for things like raisins and string cheese that I cut into bite-size pieces. I put popcorn or Goldfish in the medium container.

I had him test the lids before I sent him to school with them. He seems to be able to open them without a problem.

Theey are easy to clean. I hand wash them every evening and leave them to dry overnight. My son likes the color and the lids match his lunch bag.

*I also purchased a Funtainer Thermos (10 oz) for cold drinks, in lime green, which matches pretty well.

I pack three lunches everyday (4 year old girl, 7 year old boy and 1 hungry Dadda) and have been using these Rubbermaid Lunch Blox for about 3 years now. They are the best lunch and snack dishes I have!!! I use them for lunches, snacky bags on the weekend and to travel with for over night trips as well. The do not leak, they actually do snap together, are easy to separate and they hold good portions of food. Did I mention that they do not leak!!! I put yogurt in them and have never had a lid come off in the three years I have be sending them in my son's lunch (that right, even mini Rambo hasn't broken one open yet). I put them in the dishwasher to clean them and they do not warp or bend and the lids still fit tight.
I was only going to give them 4 stars as they are expensive, but I have never had to throw one out, they are versatile, dishwasher safe, nice to stack and DO NOT LEAK!

Extremely happy with this little lunch box set for a number of reasons! As the dad of a daughter in grade one, lunch can be a bit of a hassle. Keeping it all organized in the lunch bag without things spilling or having their lids not put on properly is hard enough as it is - and these are a great addition to your arsenal to make it slightly easier.

The reasons I am a huge fan are simple. Most importantly (not really!) it’s made the act of making lunch a whole lot easier. Instead of fumbling for random small Tupperware pieces and constantly not being able to find the right match, everything t is finally clicked all together! The snap on nature of the lids keeps everything together, and makes my daughter actually want to keep it organized as well. It’s also got the perfect amount of containers, coupled with a blue ice block. This snaps on between all the containers and it’s my favourite part, namely because it keeps my daughters fruit cold and fresh, as well as the rest of her food.

I really don’t have any complaints - it was ordered and at my house within two days, it looks awesome, works awesome and has even helped with her organization of lunch when she’s finished. My only suggestion is that on the next version they make, they create a little hook or spot for a spoon!
