Perfect for Your Next Boat Outing
The Rubbermaid Marine Cooler is ideal for your next boating trip. Its rugged exterior won't slide around the deck easily, and its extra wide handles make loading and unloading a breeze. The hinged lid of each Rubbermaid Marine cooler features a latch that attaches and holds securely, and won't pop open if you hit a patch of rough water. It's even sturdy enough to provide extra seating when needed. Whether above deck or below, Rubbermaid Marine Coolers are the perfect way to keep things cool when you're on the water.
The marine cooler's large size is perfect for holding fish or supplies for extended trips. The 102-quart cooler will accommodate either 170 pounds of fish with 30 pounds of ice or 156 cans plus ice. The 150-quart cooler will hold 250 pounds of fish and 30 pounds of ice or 252 cans plus ice.
Latches hold the lid closed securely even on bumpy rides. Safety straps keep the lid from over-opening. Sturdy handles support the heaviest loads.
Threaded Drain Plug
The surface of Rubbermaid Marine Coolers is easy to clean, and includes a liner that resists stains and odors. The threaded drain plug on the bottom of the cooler makes it easy to drain melted ice, spilled beverages, and more.
Built-in Slots for Freezer Packs
Designed to divide and separate contents in a Marine Cooler, Rubbermaid Iceolator keeps contents of a cooler colder longer. Refreeze Packs fit into the lid of your Marine Cooler, so less ice is needed in the cooler itself, leaving you more room. Fill Refreeze and Iceolator packs with liquid and freeze for later use.
Standard vs. Gott Marine Coolers: Gott
Both our Gott and Standard Marine Coolers Standard coolers have built-in slots for removable freezer packs. Gott coolers come with the freezer packs for the lid slots included. Gott coolers also have stainless steel hinges and a stainless steel lid latch. Standard Marine Coolers have plastic hinges and a plastic lid latch, and the freezer packs must be purchased separately.

All that said, it's well made for the price and keeps things cold. It's big, but not too tall so this fits in the bed of my truck with the tonneau cover down. No, I most likely won't be able to hand this down to my kids or use it as a fishing platform on my boat....but I also have $300 extra dollars in my pocket.
Edit: 08/02/2015 - Went to use the cooler for a party. I usually fill up the cooler half way with ice and then add some water......it seems to help cool the drinks faster. Well, I filled it up with about 6" of water and when I came back to the cooler 15 mintues later the water was gone. Somehow the drain spigot at the bottom of the cooler is coming apart from the body of the cooler and letting water run out. I was able to pull one side away from the cooler enough to put a wrap or two of plumber's packing (white ptfe cord) and it seemed to stop the water. I'm not really sure how or why this issue has happened. I'll probably need to find a replacement drain / spigot somewhere.
To reiterate, satisfied with product, slightly bummed with misleading description and quality of plastic.
A little heavy but it is a big cooler and it was loaded. The stainless hinges and latches are a huge plus.
Only word to the wise, when freezing the larger dividers, they must be VERTICAL while freezing, otherwise they tend to crack at a dimple in the middle. Had that happen to the dividers in my first cooler a couple years ago when I tried freezing them while almost on their sides. I was able to get replacements, and now I know better.
Minor point, I really don't like the front latch, it's sometimes stubborn to close or stay closed. Not too big a problem, since the lid is large and heavy enough to stay closed on its own. On a cooler this large though, something closer to a hasp and locking pin would be more appropriate.

These work awesome and have saved me a ton of money in ice. Even in 90+ degree heat they keep things cold and are great dividers.Published 1 month ago by Janet A. Seufert
Great marine cooler. The freeze bottles are great, but are hard to find replacements for them. I haven't had to worry about that yet, but it seems a concern for me. Read morePublished 2 months ago by ADAM SCHUMACHER
Pretty sturdy except for the closing latch and the steel cable stops I like that the handles are fixed and molded into the cooler. re: 150 quart.Published 9 months ago by JackO

Worked great for two years. We didn't abuse this ice chest, but after about two years of use it is breaking up. The plastic just gets old and cracks. Read morePublished 9 months ago by David Hawkins
