I dare you to leave out a tray of vegis on you r counter and see you unconsciously nibbles on them during the day. Maybe even you will!!!
What i really love about it is the pull out bottom. Inside of the container is a bottom with 1 inch sides and a back. It slides in and out of the container making it easy to store more than one loaf. You can even cut right on the bottom slider, although the sids do make it hard if you are cutting through 'crusty' breads.
I will say, the bummer of this bread is that our bread machine breads won't fit in it. Anything I make in the loaf pan works just fine, but bread machine breads are too big. Sometimes I go so far as to make the dough in the bread machine and then shape it and make it in the oven so that I can use this bread keeper, especially if I know that it is a bread that will be around for a while.
The only reason I am replacing mine is that it finally was destroyed. It has been dropped many, many, many times. It took a tumble from on top of the refridgerator, full of pumpkin bread. The lid stayed on, but it got a small crack in it. The next time this happened, a couple of weeks ago, the small crack turned into a large crack with a small hole. The lid still remained on, the bread was saved, but the container is no longer airtight.
However, my husband threw it in the recycling because the plastic is so flimsy that he thought it was a disposable veggie tray from Publix. I dug it out, but that demonstrates how thin the plastic is. I don't really think it's "disposable" thin, but obviously my husband does!
The removable cup (included) is very convenient. The grooves (along the screw-on lid and sides) are helpful for opening the cup. It also has finger grips. However, I was surprised by the overall feel of this cup--I was expecting something more rigid for a non-disposable item.
