The only things that's kinda of a bummer is the head piece it is a little tight around the neck and it may get a little toasty but overall I'm very happy with this purchase.
Update: He wore it for trick or treating and another Halloween event, and it even held up to a couple of trips and falling down. TONS of people/kids were excited to see it. We heard lots of "Hey look! It's BB-8! How cool!" and several people asked me where I got it. It was definitely a big hit, and he beamed with pride wearing it.
The costume is a tunic length shirt (mid thigh length), with longer pieces of flowy fabric attached over top. The sleeves are really long with holes for your thumbs to go through. The second piece is a hood with waist length split cape and piece that wraps around the front to look like a scarf. Third, there is a belt piece that has an size-adjustable closure via velcro. And lastly, the mask. The mask is a little small in my opinion, but my son thinks it's fine. You add your own black pants, shoes/boots, gloves and saber.
The fabric is really nice for a costume. I'm really happy with this purchase.
While the belt is adjustable to fit different waist sizes, the tunic is pretty slim cut. The longer fabric pieces over top would be somewhat forgiving though, allowing this costume to fit different body types.
It's not a high-end costume. At less than $20, you shouldn't expect it to be -- and I didn't. I just expected it to be decent enough to survive the week (Halloween parties, trick-or-treat, showing off, etc.). It is decent material. Not rugged, but it does serve its purpose well. It made it through Halloween without any tears or holes or anything. The good thing is that even though it's not rugged or meant to hold up through a rodeo, it looks great! It's true to the character, and it's fun to look at when worn... and of course it's fun for the kids!
My only warning would be the same warning I'd give to anyone who is buying ANYTHING on Amazon: check the description so that you know EXACTLY what you're getting with your purchase. There is undoubtedly some customers here who bought the costume thinking that it comes with a full outfit (w/ gloves, boots, etc) as well as a lightsaber. No. It does not come with all of that. Dress your child warmly (if you live somewhere where it's cold in October -- like I do). Also, you'll need to buy the Kylo Ren lightsaber separately. There are several options that you can go with for the lightsaber, and most of them won't cost you a lot.
