This book has many great ideas and has inspired me to do more with my dog...(we already hike)... This has cleared explanations and nice pictures but not exactly what I was looking for... So yes it gets a four star rating just for being a great book...

The book had lots of really good information with various tips to make it easier to take your dog camping. I have gone car-camping for years, but only just got my dog. The book brought up things that I would never have thought of. It was well written, and a good read. It also has an extensive section in the back of other helpful information, companies that sell dog-related equipment, and addresses to various camping areas.
