My boyfriend broke up with me three months ago and became engaged to my cousin.
Coincidence? Doubtful.
The week I got the wedding invitation, my boss, his dad, fired me.
Coincidence? Highly doubtful.
Me crashing their wedding at an exclusive resort?
Totally planned.
I’m Laura, the jilted ex-girlfriend and soon-to-be thorn in my ex’s side at his own wedding. But my plan wasn’t to ruin their wedding. Okay, maybe a little. It’s getting my job back. Once my ex-boss, my ex-boyfriend’s father (it’s complicated) noticed how well I made it through the wedding without messing up his precious son’s day, then he’d hire me back as a chef at his five-star restaurant, The Hen. Perfect plan, right?
I’m Rock, the owner of The Blue Spot, an exclusive resort just for Billionaires. The place was about to open and we’re having our first official event to create buzz. The wedding of the year between a billionaire heiress and the son of a famed restaurateur. Everything had to be perfect. And everything was going smoothly until the fiancé’s ex showed up. Now it’s my job to ask her to leave without causing a scene. The problem wasn’t the guests noticing her. It was the appendage between my legs that wouldn’t let me forget her.
Ruining the Billionaire’s Wedding is the start of a hilarious, sexy standalone series called Blue Ridge Mountain Billionaires

This book was so much fun. Laura just lets her mouth go and what comes out is not what she should say. I chuckled and laughed throughout the book. I liked how each chapter belonged to either Laura or Rock. I liked knowing what they were thinking. They were perfect for each other. I also liked his brother James who points out the obvious and makes plans for them. When she yells at Rock as he is trying to rectify his error towards her, I loved it! I cannot wait to read more of this series. This is a feel good book.
I thought this was going to be a fun Rom-Com all the while making the new bride and groom pay for their ‘sins’. However, I found nothing funny unless you call X-rated thoughts throughout the book funny. This has noting to do with ‘ruining her ex’s wedding’. Laura, the dumped ex, spoke up once during the ceremony about him being her sloppy seconds. That would have been good if there was follow through, but nope, none at all. The only one that got ruined was Laura …. Not the cheating ex, not the conniving cousin and certainly not the snobbish father-in-law. Too bad as that would have been entertaining and fun to read.
All the romance, that didn’t seem romantic at all, happened too quickly. The first week on the job and Laura takes the boss lunch and ends up having sex…. and explicitly detailed. There’s a difference between fun and sexy vs BDSM talk and actions. Nothing in the book description warns or prepares the reader for this.
Why didn’t we get to meet her cheating ex? How about her duplicitous cousin? The book title claims the wedding is ruined. That would’ve been good to ‘see’, Also, the ex’s dad needed a real comeuppance alongside his son and the bride.
This could have been a fun book or an emotional, angsty storyline…. or a combination of both, as the title and description leads one to believe. Unfortunately, it’s none of those. I ended up scanning through most of the book since I hate to not finish a book I’ve started.

The book was fast pace without much depth to it - also annoying that the author kept switching between calling the resort The Blue Spot and The Blue Chip so maybe needs a better editor to proof read

This is a prequel to a new series and I enjoyed it so much. It was a funny and sexy romantic comedy about Laura and Rock.
After being cheated on by her boyfriend and her cousin, her boss/former father-in-law fires her from his restaurant.
All she wants is her job back when she goes to the new stupid couple's wedding. What she didn't expect was an opportunity to prove herself in front of the stoic and sexy owner of the Blue Ridge - a soon-to-be-opened billionaire's haven.
Rock is a sweet hard worker and he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders (well, the weight of his family's world). He is always helping here and there and working so hard that being in a relationship isn't on his radar.
So when Laura comes barging in his life like a bull in a china shop, he doesn't know what to do at first. But soon enough, they both start to realize that their feelings are taking upon everything and they have to decide if their dreams are more important or if it's possible to combine their dreams and their love.
They were so cute, so sexy and funny together. Their chemistry was great and reading their story was both relaxing and entertaining.
