** Easy Transport
** Corners of the goals are much more supported than PUGG goals which means 2 things --
1) In the wind, the goal does not flap as much as a PUGG, so it keeps it shape better
2) Because it keeps it shape better, the net extends back and taught. I have found the lately PUGG nets droop.
** Easy set up
** The fiberglass frame does not appear to be as thick as PUGG goals and definitely not as thick as Infinity Goals by KWIK goal. As of yet, it has not proved to be an issue, but it makes me wonder how resilient these goals will be
Overall: After the first few uses, I am very happy with the purchase. I will try to update this review as I go through a season of U13 competitive girls.
A Bit More Detail: Honestly, I had not heard of Rukket Sports prior to looking to replace a few broken goals. Given my experience with some low-priced PUG versions I’ve gone through, I set my hopes that these would be able to at least survive single practice session with my team, if at that.
To my surprise, the quality of the goals is better than I expected and have no signs of use or wear following the last 3 days of team training.
Before purchasing, I had read a number of reviews on these goals and had some concern for the number of those stating difficulty in setting the Rukket goals up and/or folding up. As it turns out, the Rukket Pop Up Goals function the same as the industry standard which makes putting these out effortless: Undo the Velcro located on 2 sides (around the "tent poles" that keeps the PUG folded. Make sure you hold the Vs together while doing this. Once Velcro is unhooked, simply drop the goal and it becomes obvious why these are called "Pop Up Soccer Goals." Best part is that if you show your players/kids how these work, you have plenty of volunteers to help set the goals up. For those that are using Pop Up Soccer Goals for the first time, I strongly recommend referring to an online video OR ask someone to show you how to fold PUGs up. This will likely save you much frustration a broken goal when trying to sort out how to fold up a PUG for the first time…..folding these up should be effortless and almost as easy as setting them up.
Hope the above helps.
After 8 practices the plastic corner connecters had all broken and the fiber glass rods no longer stayed in place.
At this last practice I opened my car trunk to find that one rod on each goal had snapped, broken in two pieces. Really disappointed. Had hoped they would at least last the season.
