Praise for The Rules of Love and Grammar
"In this sweet and heartfelt story, Simses provides a valuable lesson in the futility of striving for an error-free book of life. A lovely read."―Kirkus Reviews

Grace is someone who cannot stand incorrect grammar everywhere she goes she is correcting people’s errors. If you can read the episode in the bike shop without laughing, close the book and don’t go any further. You will never understand this book and the message that is it sending.
As with many books you have numerous stories; Grace trying to deal with the death of her sister, Grace’s Mother planning a 65th birthday party for her Dad; her Dad the poet and local teacher; and her high school boyfriend in town filming a movie.
The story of the discovery of her sister’s bike really tugs at your heart. I love this book, every page you turn pulls you more into the story.
I sent a little note to Mary via email through her website and the quick and personal response is something I will cherish always. I was thanking her for her lovely storytelling and she thanked me for appreciating her work. Talented and generous. Mary Simses spins very relatable stories that make the reader want to linger as long as possible in the beautiful locations and with the people who live there. I can hardly wait for the next novel! I'm certain I'll be revisiting both of her novels during the wait!!
