The tweaks that I would like to see are: Neen's character needed a few of the foibles that the other characters had. She was TOO perfect. Greg's stabbing was talked about way too much. Two or three times would have been enough. A few times the story jumped a little without explaining how someone was doing something in one room or place and suddenly was in another place.
It was a delightful surprise. This is a solid story of suspense, balanced with a believable romance between the two strong and intelligent leads. A very good secondary cast made up of family and friends add extra punches to the story and, hopefully, will be revisited in the next book in the series. Top it off with a wonderful and complete happily ever after and you've got yourself a book worthy of reading on a Sunday afternoon. I'm looking forward to reading Book #2 in the "Gregory" series.
90% of the book depicted a powerful drug lord who had many cold blood killers with bombs and automatic weapons at his disposal, including some rogue agents. He could track the locations of the good guys almost real-time. Suddenly the black op confessed and the drug lord surrendered from a hiding cave, and then happily ever after. There could be something better than this.
