This is my favorite Run The Jewels album though theyre all amazing. These two LEGENDS make the perfect pairing, and EL-P’s production is experimental and speaker knocking as always. There’s the prototypical fun DGAF Run The Jewels songs where they’re flexing and talking about the ridiculous ways they’d kill you, then there’s more serious songs about police brutality, but then they’ll go to tongue and cheek songs about over the top sex that are hilarious. There’s way more sounds and moments to delve into here but it would take all day, basically this is a must have for any fan of contemporary experimental hip hop with banging beats

In today's hip hop world where is seems most everything is "shake that a-- girl" and "pop that p---y and twerk", it's extremely refreshing to know that there are still a handful of artists that still care about putting out quality music that doesn't conform to what "major labels" want it to be just because it needs to play on the radio or the club. After hearing the first RTJ album, I was hooked. Killer Mike and El-p are the perfect pair when it comes to rapping. When I caught wind of the news that they were making a second one, I was excited, but I started to question, "how could they out do the first album"? It was just soo classic. Just like with the first album, they let you download it for free on release day, and you best believe that I got my copy (for the record, I own a physical copy too). From start to finish, this album was a whole new experience. Killer Mike's verses are sooo on point and sharp. Whereas I thought El had the better verses in the first album, Killer Mike made up for that in a huge way on this album. Not to say his verses were bad on the first album, but you could see the growth and evolution from the first album. El's production is out of this world. Very reminiscent of Fantastic Damage. While the first album seemed more grounded in the earthly realm of hip hop rules, this album has since taken off in a rocket ship and has left the competition behind. This album definitely surpasses their first and I can't even imagine what their 3rd outing is going to be like. Must have!

If you like mumble rap or pretty much anything that is super popular on the radio or Youtube, I would look elsewhere. This album is a work of art though. The beats, the rhymes, the themes. They all come together and create this beautifully woven tapestry of aggressive, soulful, catchy and amazing music. Killer Mike and El-P are the greatest combination since PB&J, chocolate and peanut butter, Hansel and Gretel. You need this in your life.

This is a great purchase. It is pressed on 180 gram teal vinyl and put into a beautiful gate-fold sleeve. It also comes with a poster an stickers. I have not listened to it yet so I can say much about the sound quality, but considering they threw a 40 minute long album on two vinyl records I can assume it sounds great. It was shipped promptly and safely and I am more than satisfied. If you want to listen to the music you can get it for free on their website, but I recommend giving back and getting this awesome album on vinyl.

2 LP Teal vinyl w/ Gangsta Boo ft on Love Again. This is a beautiful looking pressing that sounds great. Sounds just as good as the FLAC files and seriously bumps. I don't understand the need to split this into 2 LP's though. It is a short album clocking in under 39 minutes. This could easily fit on 1 LP with no sound degradation. I will still give it 5 stars because its a great album and great pressing.

Another really good album from these guys. If you liked the first one, you'll like the second one. It's not very different. They get a bit sexier in this one, and it feels a little weird to me, honestly. Maybe I'm getting old. Parts of it are pretty funny, in a creepy way...but they intended that. There's this part that sounds like Carlton Banks as a date-rapist. Disturbing, and also funny.
