I've enjoyed reading this book as a runner and have related and recommended excerpts from this book to family and friends.

As a runner or someone trying to attain a level of fitness, you'll find informative and helpful tips throughout the book on training but most of all you'll follow Don and Mike on their respectives paths through balancing family, fitness and work.

I'm an avid runner and regular reader of Donald's blog [...] so I had been looking forward to this book for quite some time. There's something in this book for everyone, from those new to running to the most experienced. It's personally put the bug in my head to run the Pikes Peak Marathon after reading Donald's great review of the race. Big Sur is now also on that list.

I plan on passing this book on to family and friends who are time to time runners as I know they will enjoy it as well. It really is a great book that anyone will be able to find wisdom, inspiration, or just plain old entertainment out of.

Get yourself this book, you won't regret it!

I have been racing with and against Michael Dove for over 15 years. I never knew he had such a sense of humor. I can relate to so much in this book, and I get to laugh at myself in the process. Great information for the casual runner and the serious racer. It's loaded with pratical advise that has been tested over the years and miles. My girlfriend, a non-runner, enjoyed it as much as I did becasue she sees a whole bunch of me in the book.

I'm a sometimes runner and a friend recommended this book. It's my favorite read in a long time. I told myself to stop at just a few stories but I couldn't stop. Every story is interesting and fun. I really recommend this to anyone who is a runner or even non-runner. The writing is great and the subjects are often what everyone thinks about but doesn't write about. Hard to explain that but you'll just have to read them for yourself.
