Picked up a copy of this in my local bargain book store. An unassuming little tome, but packed with some great stories (35 of them). All are between 2-2500 words in length, so a lovely little book for late nights. The theme is that of the 'space elevator' - a scientific concept where elevators are used to get into space rather than rockets - so it can get a little repetitious, but as most of the stories are reasonably diverse, that's not too much of a problem.
It features the winners of the 2005 Ray Bradbury International Science Fiction Competition about all things and everything 'space elevator'.
Why the five stars? Simply because there are some great stand out stories. My faves:
