Obviously this is a good writer with a good story but..
Ok i was ok with this until the end! The fact that he knows everything shes been through & he KNEW she was coming over & he still let that evil chick pull his pants down in front of everyone?! Yeaaaa he realllllly cares about her huh?! Im sure his excuse will be how messed up he was even though he seemed pretty freakin sober when he was begging her! Lastly, his excuses were borderline funny & very jr high OR he just thinks shes an idiot (which remains to be seen) Im sorry! It wont happen again! Please forgive me! Blah blah! Didnt try to explain or be sincere! Gross! I dont even think ill read book 2 bc i see her getting weak already & my fantasies damn sure dont revolve around a weak woman being played! Ill never love him & ur suppose to be in love with the h! Nah!
Emilia is a senior in college and lives with her best friend, Bryn. I liked Bryn’s attitude and I also liked her pushing for Emilia to live a little in her last year of school. There is a ton of drinking in this book. Drinking at home, drinking in bars, and drinking in clubs. I have to say though, that was definitely true to college life.
Logan is the somewhat cocky, totally hot, hotel heir, college senior that Emilia has the pleasure of interviewing during one of her school news broadcasts. Let the fun begin.
There are sweet moments in the book, Logan can really be romantic. Some of the book is slow-going for me, but are also parts that need to be in there to move the connection forward. It may seem like a long book at over 500 pages, but some of those pages are back and forth emails between Emilia and Logan. Lots of literary references, so you will be able to brush up on your Shakespeare.
Diane Mannino writes a story of new love, finding your other half, and then losing love.
Emilia King is just another ordinary girl that's entering her senior year at Santa Barbara University and this year she promised her roommate that she would stop "living in the library" and get out more this year.
Logan Prescott is the hottest guy in campus and he's also the heir of a billionaire hotel businness fortune. Emilia knows that she should stay away from him but when she looks into his eyes she can do nothing but fall for him, and the fact that he can quote her favorite literary works doesn't make it any easier to resist him.
These two very different people discover each other and find out how hard it can be to solve the challenge each represents for the other. Emilia knows being involved with Logan is dangerous but she also can't leave him.
It's not possible for me to describe exactly what kind of book this is. It has a great story and wonderful characthers but still, sometimes, I felt the storyline quivering a bit.
Emilia is an ordinary person and sometimes feels a little diminished in contrast with the almighty Logan. I do feel like the story approaches female insecurities in a new fashion as a woman discovers she's beautiful and that she's better than wath she tells herself she is.
This plot has many diverse characthers, since the perfect rich boy to the awful drug addict, and approaches the luxuries of higher social classes in contrast with the life of a simple girl.
My description of the plot is certainly not the best, since it is really complex and, if I said more than I already did, it might have given the whole story away.
If you love breathtaking romance novels, that still feel a little YA (though not much) and have really beautiful scenes then you should give this one a try!

I liked this book! It was a little slow starting for me, but once it got going I was really into it and it was hard to put it down. The characters are likable. I really liked Bryn, I loved how she was so protective and cared for her BFF Emilia.
The relationship between Emilia and Logan was frustrating at times, but I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow.
I was not fond of the ending. But, I liked the book so I plan to read the next book. I am interested to see what happens in their relationship after the betrayal that Emilia felt.
